Summary: I have two of these. Both transfer belts died on me after only 3,000 pages. I bought new transfer belts, only to find out they no longer work in these printers unless I update the firmware. I figured, no big deal, I'll update the firmware. After much frustration, I have learned that Samsung will only let their service tech update the firmware, FOR A FEE. In addition, they are expecting me to drive 4 hours to get this done. I just find that to be shady.
Summary: I am just not sure where to begin. First off, the printer is NOT a wireless printer regardless of the description. DO NOT PURCHASE it if you need a wireless printer. I quickly found out that it is not one when I called Samsung for support. None the less, I thought I would keep it and deal with the disappointment with the joy of printing and getting my work done faster.
Summary: This is NOT a 'wireless' printer, and shame on Amazon for advertising it as such. There is no mention at all anywhere on the page that the printer requires an expensive add-on card for wireless network printing. Just because something is CAPABLE of doing something doesn't mean that for the listing and advertised price that it DOES do it. Had I known that this was not wireless I may have opted for something else.
Summary: At the time of writing these are available for around £400 + VAT although many places are still asking the previous price of around £800. At £400 it is around £100 less than the nominally cheaper and inferior CLX 6220 model. We chose the Samsung primarily because it has both a duplex scanner and a duplex printer. If this is important to you then as far as I can see Samsung are the only choice in this price range.
