Summary: Prints pretty fast, and paper handling is awesome. Double sided scanning, printing and copying in either full color or black and white. Has an integrated fax machine too! Connects to your router and every computer can use it to print and scan. Found it to be very reliable over the last couple years. Replacement cartridges are easy to find as an order but no-one seems to stock them at retail. True for any printer that does large jobs: Network connectivity is important.
Summary: I purchased this printer in April 2010, and it looked great on paper. Real life was a different story. I was initially hesitant to buy a printer from Samsung, but the features and initial reviews from sites like CNET and PCWorld helped push me over the edge. Time to print the first page (color or B&W) is fantastic, but printing multiple pages (especially color) slows the print speeds significantly with "re-calibrating" every 2-3 pages.
Summary: I recieved a defective printer ( C toner) not install message and printer quit working. Spent about 2 half days talking with Samsung tech and and advises it may take up to 2 weeeks or more before they will fix the printer. I have used HP printers for over 15 years and this will be my last Samsung product.
Summary: The overall specifications for this printer are good and it has a good price. What isn't stated is that one replacement set of toner cartridges costs more than the printer did! The real problem with this is that, even when you only print black and white text, the printer still uses all of the different toner colors along with the black. After calling for support, Samsung at first suggested that they were working on a fix.
Summary: The machine arrived improperly assembled and is useless as a copier, FAX or scanner until it is repaired. One of the hinges in the top lid is not installed and is tightly screwed at a 90 degree angle from the slot in which it should be inserted. It will not flip into place, so the lid is permanently propped open. I don't have the proper tools to try to loosen the hinge and wouldn't try it on my own anyway. I shouldn't need to do so.
Summary: This unit has exceptional network capabilities. It even sends me an email with an image of any faxes that I receive. It is a complex color & duplexing printer/copier/fax but it works flawlessly without any problems. Color output is gorgeous. Only slight negative is that it is quite heavy and may take two people to lift it.
Summary: I ordered a refurbished Samsung printer for my small business. When I received the item, it did not have a power cord, software, or the imaging unit for the machine. The seller took over and contacted Samsung, arranged for them to replace it, and then made them pay for the return shipping, which they originally were going to make me pay for.
Summary: Bought printer in May 2011. Paper is jamming during duplex printing, approximately every 20th page (printed 60+ page document and had 3 jams, printed another 40+ pages - got 2 jams). Called customer service. A rude Samsung technician advised that this is NORMAL?!?!? and nothing can be done. Recommended to remove the jammed page by opening the printer each time it happens.
