Summary: I have never given anything on Amazon a 1 star review, but if i could give this - stars, I would. Had an HP that worked excellent for about 5 years in my office. Our IT person said it was time to put it to rest (although it still worked fairly well) and we were pointed in the direction of this machine. Out of the box, the machine didn't work. It wouldn't network, wouldn't scan as a .pdf and wouldn't copy.
Summary: This is by far the worst printer I have ever used. Don't waste your time, money or effort on this printer. I have had more difficulty with this model than any other printer I have ever used. It is not ready for real world use at all. First, it jams constantly. Paper choice does not matter. It jams equally with bargain paper or with quality paper. Jams are very tedious to clear and very time consuming.
Summary: I bought this printer (CLX-4195 color laser multifunction) because of good reviews on Amazon. I had a number of bad experiences and would not recommend it. Most importantly, after the initial setup the print quality was very poor (almost unreadable with blurred and blank sections). I spent a frustrating week with online support, the manual, chat and live telephone discussion. No one could help. I was told to return the printer to the repair center.
Summary: It freezes up and I have had so much trouble with this machine....Samsung will fix it but you have to spend 3 days getting them to do it and jump through hoops on calls and call backs. My time is too valuable for this. I bought a Brother instead and it works like a breeze. I even had help from my IT guy and the wireless option is a joke to set up....JOKE.
I purchased this printer in 2011. After using for 3 years I regret purchasing the Samsung CLX-4195 FW

Summary: The Good The wireless function works well and easy to set up. The print quality is very good in both black & White and color. & the Rest.............. The photo color is very good however the generic color combo replacement cartridges are $200 and even more for the Samsung branded replacements. I have never found any of the replacement cartridges at any brick and mortar retailer so you have to purchase it online.
Summary: We have had nothing but problems with this printer since we purchased it. We tried to reset the printer, but the given password doesn't even work. If you call tech support they will send you a technician to decide how much it will cost! There warranty is a joke. Stay away.
Summary: This printer will not scan at the specifications it is sold under. Samsung support has confirmed this but will do nothing about it. I have been addressing this issue with samsung since October 2013. They are now not responding to me and when I call in I frequently get hung up on. Their customer support procedures are not designed with the satisfaction of the customer in mind. You can only scan up to 600 DPI and in some cases 300 is the max.
Summary: Printer worked great until I had to replace the toner. The printer won't print if one of the four toner cartridges is low...even if you just want to print using black !!! Worst of all, unless you use Samsung factory toner cartridges, which cost $80.00, the printer won't work. Non-Samsung toner cartridges, which are half the price, worked at first but after Samsung updated the printer software, only Samsung toner works. This is a blatant rip-off.
Summary: Unfortunately, it's the worst printer I've ever owned. It only worked for 1 day before it starting breaking down. The only way my wife could print was to restart the printer each time. And it only printed for me about once or twice a week. Now it got a paper jam. It won't come unjammed. While trying to unjam it it got badly burned on 2 of my fingers from a super heated coil 15 minutes after it jammed. So now it's just a 40 pound paper weight.
Was a very slick printer, now broken and Samsung's customer service is terrible.

Summary: I am updating this review now that we have owned this printer for about one year. A little while ago it developed a problem where it will set an error code for motor failure. So, every morning when I go to use the printer I get to turn it off, back on and wait for it to boot back up. Sometimes I get to do this twice. I contacted Samsung through the website. They have you go through the whole deal with entering model number, serial number, problem and so forth.
