Work well but durable is not very good. Does not scan picture well

Bryan Steimel "Bryan Steimel", Amazon
10 September 2014
  • Summary: I have had this printer for about a year and a half. Most of the time it does work and works well. But I have to say that the scanner for scanning anything with pictures is worthless. I've sent the printer back to Samsung twice and both received printers that when you scan pictures they have lines going across them. Documents do scan fine. A year later i have to say it is not holding up well. a few plastic clips have broken on the inside and it's a chore to work with it.

Error #A1-4111

Owen Herndon, Amazon
12 June 2014
  • Summary: Wanted to upgrade to a laser printer. Looked into multiple models before settling on this one based on reviews, price points, and desired features. Excited to set it up upon arrival I quickly but carefully follow the instructions provided...After set up is complete I power it on, everything seems to be working then about 10 seconds into its start up it makes a a horrid loud grinding sound. Once the grinding stops the lcd screen displays error #A1-4111..

Terrible printer, terrible company

jp, Amazon
4 March 2014
  • Summary: I actually liked the printer for the month that it worked. After that, color print jobs got progressively worse, with red dots all over the page. I followed all the online FAQs to try to resolve the issue. This included new toner, new paper and trying various quality settings in the driver. The quality problem happened from PCs and MAC, so it wasn’t a driver issue. Finally called Samsung support and they opened a ticket for repair.

Not Fully Compatible with iMac

MJL ID, Amazon
9 December 2013
  • Summary: This printer never fully was compatible with my iMac, and after several phone calls to Samsung, as well as Mac support (with a lot of finger pointing between the two) I was told this wasn't fully compatible with Mac's recent operating systems and would never print in color. It prints in black and white "fine" (still a bit grainy, but I'm sure that is a compatibility issue) but was never operational in color.

One of the worst device I ever bought, stay away

tehsin, Amazon
18 May 2013
  • Summary: I wish if there was a star below one, I'd have given for this product. The installation is so crap that I spent full 2 days of my weekend installing on my laptop. ou First it refuses connect with my wifi, despite several installs on different machines. Another HP worked just fine. The over on USB it prints one page in 5 minutes, just black text. The queue is held up and only prints If I power off and then on from wall socket.

Scanner died 45 days after purchase

welbo, Amazon
26 February 2013
  • Summary: It makes horrible grinding noises every time you turn it on. Samsung support requires the unit be shipped to their service center, at my expense, and repaired even though it is so new. When it WAS working, while connected to my wireless router, it would routinely disconnect, making it unavailable for printing and scanning. Then when it would reconnect, it would acquire a different IP, making it necessary to change settings in the driver before I could use it again.
