Summary: This could be one of the worst printers i have ever owned. At first glance, it's great, or it seems. Looks good, color laser and a scanner, what could be wrong?? This is a printer designed for people who print 1 or 2 pages a week at most. I never print in color and yet i have to replace color toners regularly, ridiculously regularly. This printer always needs some sort of attention. If you're looking for something you can set up and forget about, this is NOT it.
Summary: The print quality stinks. Read the box because this one was mixed with Ethernet compatible and I didn't realize it until I got it home and opened. My fault. The store naturally wouldn't take it back after opened...ugh! Again my bad. Then a print server would not stay working on this but instead I had to reboot the print server everytime I wanted to print after delaying awhile. basically, I really dislike this machine.
Summary: This is the worst color printer you can buy, the toner is very expensive and the amount of tone used is based on number of pages printed and not the amount toner used. DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER!!!
Very Expensive to maintain, cost per page is prohibitive

Summary: I mostly use this printer at home, I'm very dissapointed from it, cost for supplies is very high and print quality is not what I expected for a laser printer. I like samsung products and that is one of the reasons i decided to buy this printer, guess what, they have bad products like this too. Want to save some money and headaches.? Buy another printer.
Summary: I bought this printer a little over a year ago for around $300. It comes with a one year warranty. We used it to print color notices on 8.5x11 paper to let our customers know when we would be closed during holiday weekends. We printed four notices, one or two times per month for a year, until a sheet became hopelessly jammed in the fuser shortly after the 1st anniversary of the purchase. We printed fewer than 100 pages and they all looked great.
Summary: This is a very complicated product design , which Samsung does not appear to have perfected yet from a reliability standpoint. This is my third CLX-3185 which I purchased to use while the second unit was being repaired by Samsung's repair agent. Since I bought a complete set of Toner Print Cartridges in an attempt to get my second printer to work properly , I elected to buy a third unit for use as a backup since I already had this set of new unused cartridges.
Summary: I bought 2 of these printers in May 2012. Both of them have had to be repaired (and parts replaced) several times. The first one was at 2 1/2 months ! They aren't even a year old yet. Samsung makes it very difficult to submit a request for repair and they ignore requests for an explanation. There is no excuse for both of these to have identical problems with very little use. I am unhappy with this product and with Samsung's handling of the problems.
Summary: There are two problems with this device: scanning functionality and copying quality. My use is almost exclusively black & white and Grayscale copying, scanning and printing. The scanning software for this unit has no - repeat - NO contrast or darkness/brightness controls. You cannot change the way it scans, for example, a check you want to deposit electronically or a form that was filled out in blue ink. What you get is what you get.
Summary: I bought two of these when they were on sale, one for me and one for my mother. It has great print quality, terrific features, and a FATAL flaw: The toner cartridges. My mother uses her printer a lot more than I do, and she got a "low toner" warning after about 600 pages. I am aware that many printer manufacturers ship new printers with partially full cartridges, relying on the "Razor-Blade" sales model where they sell the base product at below cost and 'make it up'...
