Summary: if you are looking for a well built quality printer, keep looking. this printer started having problems at one year, and quit working all together at 1 1/2 years. SAMSUNG is at the top of my do not buy list!
Disappointed, didn't last 3 years - will avoid Samsung printer products in the future

Summary: Not much to say except that now this printer is failing miserably, lots of jams, random crashes and the software hangs up my PC's. The top part has broken so I have to carefully prop it up when I try to copy or scan, and I'm really the only person who uses this machine. We also replaced a part, the printer drum after it failed only after two years. I tried to talk my colleague out of replacing the part and saving the money for a better machine.
Summary: This is a home office printer. The features are fantastic, the initial print quality very good, and the setup was a breeze. I can scan directly to .pdf files on my laptop from the autofeeder. I have never had a paper jam. However, it does eat toner. I do not print much at all, but I am on my third $50 toner cartridge in a couple years, and 2nd set of color ones. So, I will add that it prints less than I thought it would before refills. I have used only Samsung toner.
Summary: When I first got this printer it printed fine in both black and white and color. Then the black toner started appearing streaked on the page. I tried contacting Samsung but got the normal response. They told me to change the black cartridge and clean the printer. They should have cleaned it themselves when they refurbished it. Not a satisfied customer here.
Summary: Bought this printer a year ago and didn't want to review without some time with use. Print quality is OK. It is not for anyone who would like photo quality prints. It does the job. Slow to start everything-Fax-Print-Sleep. If you want to send a quick fax, you need to be ready to stand at the machine and wait a few seconds to warm up. The ink is expensive as you can imagine on any new machine.
No like Samsungs other good products thats for sure!

Summary: Samsungs other products like their LCD TV and other products are usually excellent...but not this Samsung CLX-3160FN laser-printer...it is much slower than advertised/our best speed is 11-12 pages per minute. It takers forever to warm up and worst of all it prints very light even when darkness is in max mode...we just received oura and were more than dissapointed. Suggest you try another brand.
Summary: This product does not work because I can not install drivers for printer. I contacted "Samsung" Customer Services but they can not help me. That is a lesson for me for future buying on E bay ... Now product lay unused and my money is vested.
Summary: I've been a graphic designer for over 15 years and just started my own business. I bought this printer thinking it would be a good all-around deal - print/scan/copy/fax. Unfortunately, the print quality is just awful. I've used so many different printers in my life that I do know good from bad. I also called Samsung and they were no help. I have a Mac and when I said i was upgrading to Leopard this week, they said DON'T.
Trouble Networking the Printer with HP Network Printers
Bryan S. Coffman, Amazon
10 July 2007
Summary: I did a lot of research on laser printers but obviously not enough. We have an HP designjet and the printer drivers from the Designjet and the Samsung conflict. There is a note on the Samsung website that indicates that this conflict might exist but I didn't find it during my research (and their tech support people don't know about it either). As a result we had a nightmare trying to get the printers working and on the same network.
Summary: I HATE this printer. We have had nothing but problems since day one. The very first day we hooked it up, the transfer unit/belt was bad. We would have to wait days for a new one (never been used before) so we opted to exchange the printer. We chalked it up to poor shipping methods. The fax machine steals our phone calls all the time! We have spent hours on the phone with technical support and they cannot solve this problem.
