Summary: Tends to stop working after a year due to the solenoid spring losing tension. This is a tiny spring in the driver mechanism. What's worse, it is almost impossible to find a replacement for the spring.
Summary: This "refurbished" printer has error messages and it will cost me to have it "repaired"! I'm not too happy about that but the printer is too large and too heavy for me to lift. I'll attempt to find a repair facility here in Wichita, Kansas that will come to the site and fix it.
Summary: I own this printer. It worked great at first. Then in just got worse. My print quality is terrible. My scanner has stopped working and it is very difficult to find the toner cartridges at local office supply stores. You can only purchase online.
Summary: Run, don't walk, away from this piece of garbage. Have had it for about 1.5 years for light small business printing. It appears that the transfer belt assembly is shot, a $200 part, far ahead of when I should be replacing it according to my service guy. Couple that with service costs to fix and a less than impressive user experience navigating through how to use it since day one, plus NEVER getting the scanner to work, this goes into my "never again" category.
Summary: This Multi function printer did a good job on print quality but paper handling was it's downfall. It never stopped jamming. You could never fill the small paper tray or it would jam, same thing as you got below about 1/3 full, constant jams. When it did feed paper properly it was a nice printer with great features for the price but I finally had to give up on this unit the frequent jams were too frustrating.
Summary: I've had this for almost 2 years and it has broken twice, and now that it is out of warranty Samsung won't service it. Local repair shops can't get parts, so now I have to buy a new printer. I will not be buying another Samsung.
Summary: We open this machine and found that gear's axles holding in the chassis were of very bad quality. This machine printed around ten regular paper color pages, then started jamming, we opened this machine for inspection and found some gears axles broken, next to the feeding motor. Chassis is very poor quality. This is a shame as all electronic and engineering seems of good quality. As well as the cartridges carriage.
Love Samsung - HATE this product. Unusuable due to paper jams.

Summary: Prior to this I had a Samsung printer that was doing a reliable and quality service for about 5 years. Plus I have many Samsung products that I am very happy about. Thus I upgraded to the CLX-3160FN because I wanted color and a multi-function printer. Big mistake. It now jams pretty much on every second page. This is beyond frustrating and seems to point to a design flaw of the product. It jams with the paper only being pulled in about 2 inches.
I had high hopes but at the end I am very dissapointed.

Summary: I really hate to write a negative review - in fact this is the first negative review I ever wrote - but two printers later and nearly BURNING THE OFFICE DOWN pushed me over the edge. This printer has high potential, it has many wonderful features but it means nothing when most of my day was spent on clearing/fixing paper jams, random clicking and constant errors. A little background about myself: I'm a mechanical engineer, software programmer, and a former IT.
Summary: I have owned my Samsung CLX-3160FN for about six months and I have become so frustrated with its imprecise paper handling that I am shopping for a replacement. I purchased the CLX-3160FN for my small consulting business as a low volume copier, a sheet fed scanner and a color printer. The copies are adequate, the network scanner is nice (although every page is a separate file) but the color printer has me tearing my hair out.
