Summary: This product was advertised to be compatible with Windows 8. The install software stopped at windows 7. I knew at that point I was in trouble. After searching the web for an hour, I called Panasonic CS who talked me through a variety of sub menus, with the alleged drivers listed under a fax driver sub heading (this machine has no fax function). I downloaded these and twice tried to run with my computer, both times causing computer to severely malfunction.
Summary: It's fast, it's got great resolution, and the network features are very well done. The remote SMB support is particularly useful, and the printer is equally easy to use from its own interface or from the software. So far the toner cartridge has held up, but I bought two spares just in case. The paper tray also holds a copious amount of paper, and has yet to jam on me.
Summary: This printer does its job but doesn't last very long. I have had 3, each lasted around a year. Each suffered the same malfunctioning drum. But that cost about $30 more than buying a new printer. That is why I have had three. I have since upgraded to a all in one unit that has a feeder and allows for multiple page scanning a feature that this printer does not have and can be a real time saver if you need to scan in more than a page or two or would want to save multiple...
Summary: This is a perfect laser printer for home or home office with moderate to slightly heavy printing needs. I'm not sure how it would hold up to the volumes of a regular office. Pros: 1. By far the cheapest and easiest laser toner to refill. Just twist the knob and pour in the refill. $8 for up to 3500 pages. Just do it inside a large plastic bag to prevent spills, keep your nose covered, and have plenty of paper towels to clean up the outside of the toner once done.
Summary: Really no complaints, it had done all that is expected. The software all loaded easily. I print from a corporate, wi fi connected and Lan connected computer - All loaded software easily and print accurately. We had an ink jet before and hated how often we had to replace ink at $40-$60 each time...
Summary: One problem after another. No customer support what so ever. The poor instructions resulted in losing the toner (and making a mess). The program was out of date resulting in not being able to use the scanner, and Panasonic does have the updated program available on-line.
Summary: I was excited to finally get a laser printer. I selected this one based on the reviews and the price. Set up was super easy and it scans fine but after light printing it started streaking so bad you cannot see the printed text. I have called customer service, replaced the toner and then replaced the drum. Still, no improvement.
Summary: May work fine with a PC but it took some time to get the right driver for my Mac, then the process of getting a scan done and to the computer was not clear and therefore mostly unsuccessful. I gave it away for free after it sat for a year. Not for a mac and was really not a plug and play printer.
Summary: It stopped working two weeks into it! I am not sure what is wrong! This is not what I expected. It copies fine, but the scan does not work! Additionally, the electrical outlet is loose and will not stay plugged in.
