"Whatever you do, don't buy from Lexmark."

  • Pros: WI-FI was great, fairly fast, nice and light.
  • Cons: Hardware malfunctioned after 19 months, out of warranty so no choice but to buy a new printer. Lexmark offers a 20% discount to U.S. customers as part of their "Customer for Life" program, but not to Canadians. II'll never buy from Lexmark again.

Buy an HP

  • Summary: I am sorry I don't have time for an intensive review of this product but feel compelled to share my troubles with it: I never could get the scanner to work. Probably if I had had a lot of time I could have figured it but am super busy and don't feel I should have to "work" on making this thing work. My previous printer that I had for YEARS worked very easy upon set up.

"Had it set up all of 9 hours. Can't wait to return it."

  • Pros: It was easy to set up until print cartridges required 3 machine cleanings via the maintenance feature and one manual cleaning with damp cloth.
  • Cons: Scanning SUCKS. Perfectly clear photos go on the scanner and completely blurry images come up on screen at 300 dpi, standard for most photo scanning not intended for publishing. Scan okay at 600 dpi, but who wants it that big for everyday use?
