Summary: I've had my X75 for over 5 years and have loved it. It's been easy and reliable. For an older inkjet the pictures still come out good and the scanning/editing is no challange. Not too fancy for us simpletons. Yes the ink is expensive and I have found that the Staples brand works as well if not better. I was having trouble with the blue ink clogging and having to clean the head of the cartridge with a damp paper towel. No problem since I went to the Staples product.
Summary: The most appealing quality about the printer was the reasonable low price. I decided to buy it because I was printer less and my computer felt naked with out one. On the other hand, I am having a hard time with the calibration of the printer and can't seem to get the white lines out of the words. It is a great looking printer and many good features, but the clarity of the printing is a bit poor. I just need to tweak it a little more and it will be a great product.
Excerpt: This printer is the worst printer ever made!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The rollers don't work properly, pulling the paper in on an angle and either jamming, reading as paper is out, or wrecking your printing completely. I would not recommend this printer to anyone! I think it is the worst printer that lexmark could have ever made. They should go back to the drawing board and pull the printers before they get a bad reputation based on 1 item.
Excerpt: if you are looking for a cheap printer, then this is one..........but if you don't want a printer that's constantly going to get on your nerves, to the point of wanting to hit it with a sledgehammer then obviously avoid this one like the plague -explaination: when you first start off with this printer it seems fine(full cartridges) but after several printing sessions you notice horizontal lines across your printing, you go to the maintenance section of the help section,...
Cons: needs constant cleaning of the printer heads
Excerpt: Low printer prices have made the Lexmark X75 PrinTrio unit a bargain well what I class as a bargain, it cost me around £50inc delivery and 2 cartridges which cost about the same as this. It copies, scans, and prints, hence the name PrinTrio. This Lexmark does what it says on the tin lol. Including printing at 2,400 by 1,200 dpi resolution at speeds up to 11 PPM in black, and 6 PPM in colour, one-touch 48 bit scanning and one-touch colour copying.
