Summary: I feel like most people who are complaining about it just don't know how to use it! Although, I experienced only ease in setting it up once I plugged it into my Windows 7 computer vs my windows xp. It works great and is super easy to set up wireless-ly, I can print from my phone, desktop, laptop. It makes no noise at all, works quickly and the prints look great! Scanner also worked well!
Summary: I love Lexmark All-In-One's. I had one that fell apart and foolishly bought an HP. Never could get my fax to work right; even had a replacement and still was a problem. Gave up and bought another Lexmark. Haven't had a problem since.
Summary: This printer repeatedly failed to print, won't see the computer or other device (iPad, notebook, etc) trying to print from it. Uses ink way too fast, which is not available in town and must be ordered. It is not true wifi, and it *might* print only when connected by ether cable. It refused to print only in black, even though the settings showed that it was set for black only.
Summary: I absolutely love this printer! It does what the description said it would do. The double side printing option is pretty sweet but I wish it printed on both sides right away; it prints on one side and then sucks the paper back in and prints on the other side. Scanning papers is quite simple and easy. I haven't set up Fax yet so I wouldn't know if that works. I use the black ink catridge a lot and it goes pretty fast. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied.
Summary: I purchased this unit to replace another Lexmark that we had had relatively good luck with. This all in one printer did not install correctly, printed intermittently, and did not scan at all. Copy and fax worked fine. I called Lexmark customer support and they decided that in order to get this device to install correctly (2 days old and out of the box) that I needed to consult premium customer support.
Summary: Love the printer, but the wifi was so annoying. Word to the wise, you must set the thing using the advance setting, manually putting the setting into the printer. Other than that, great printer.
Summary: I could not get the printer to print an address on a #6 3/4 envelope. The 6 /3/4 size envelope is probably the most common size envelope people use to mail letters. After talking to 5 or 6 support people, whom did not know enough about the printer to handle the issue, I FIGURED IT OUR FOR MYSELF. I discovered that the printers program does not include an option for envelops of that size. I was finally able to make a "custom" envelope of that size and it worked fine.
Summary: had to purchase because my Lexmark 5150 (BEST PRINTER EVER for me) not compatible with Windows 8. This s515 takes to long to start and turn OFF. makes crazy noises on start up. Checked the price of ink replacements this week and could not believe the price , will not be able to afford them...... it does print good.
