scanner to computer dont work but everything else does

Excerpt: I received this all in one printer for christmas.I have tried to scan using it to save to my computer and it wont and isnt able to do so saying list isnt available or something like that..printer and copier part work great...i am able to scan an item to a memory card but thats about all i can use the scanner part for which isnt good if i want a document scanned cause then it comes out in pic.jpeg..
Excerpt: I purchased this printer from Sams Club for the price of just 52.00 tax included. Now having access to Fax , Copy , and Scan features for the price just can't be beat. The color pages are fair but ok. the print copy is good. I've already taken 1 printer back to sams club and hoping that I don't have to take this one back because of the same problem. The paper feed has some issues.
Excerpt: I owned this printer for over a year and I am very disappointed with it. The ink cartridges were very expensive and ran out often. Lexmark has very little issue with trying to force you to only buy their ink and to buy it often. The ink cartridges for this printer contain a microchip that alerts the printer when the cartridge is empty. Once that chip in that cartridge reads empty once, it will not reset even if you refill the cartridge.
Summary: I bought this printer to use for banner printing of strip-logs, which it did fine for about one year. One day it said "carrier jam" and no longer printed and I could not get the error message to go away. Customer service confirmed that the printer was broken, but older than 1 year and no longer under warranty.
