Summary: Windows XP users beware! Before I purchased this printer, I googled it and checked CNET and it seemed to to get pretty decent reviews. Once my used printer arrived I went to Lexmark site and downloaded software. I spent 3 days trying to get printer to run.
Summary: I brought this printer for $40 on sale in a retail store. Installation was easy and it the printer itself works(fast, good quality, hardly any noise). The issue starts after you turn your computer back on a following day or time.
Summary: I would get any printer other than this printer - multiple negatives - first month printer stopped working to Lexmark credit they did ship a replacement - and this is where the first problem developed - the software puts the specific printer on your computer - removed the broken printer and...
Summary: Owned for 1+ year now. Sheet feeder never worked. Occasionally makes obnoxious clicking noise, as something mechanical is stuck or jammed by poor programming because after leaving it sit for several days unplugged it tends to work again.
Summary: Unless you're related to the Rockefellers, Bill Gates, or some other well heeled dynasty I suggest you steer clear of this printer. My copies were coming out in black/white at the top portion and a maroon color on the bottom portion.
Summary: I have never been more disappointed with a printer in my life!!! I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LEXMARK PRODUCT IN MY LIFE!!! It prints and copies fine until the ink gets low, then it will not print at all.
Summary: The only pros are it will occasionally print and scan and copy. Usually this is after turning it on and off several times because the power quits, sometimes in the middle of a print job. The fax has never worked correctly. I am on my second model (5650).
You would be running through replacement cartridges like crazy

Summary: For my X5650 LEXMARK, I have had to buy a new black cartridge ($24 plus tax at Walmart) after printing just about 50 sheets. The cartridge was 36 black. This adds up to about 45 cents a page. The maintenance people (people with barely understandable English) told me that that is not unusual.
Summary: The printer functions fine except super expensive on ink. The ink runs out quickly so it is very expensive to keep in ink. I even tried a so called refillable cartridge but you can't get the printer to recognize it as refilled.
