Summary: I purchased one of these for a small office, for copying and as a network printer. It worked so well I purchased another. Got the second 500 sheet tray for each. Haven't seen any need to expand the memory. I have been using HP printers for years, so it took a little getting used to a different printer driver, but it works just fine. So far no feeding problems of any kind. The color touchscreen is easy enough to figure out.
Summary: I purchased 2 of this models 2 years ago for our office and paid $1300 each. Same model. Great machines with lots of very cool features. I like the Thumb Drive slot in particular. I have forms I have loaded in the drive and all I have to do to print them is install the drive in to the front panel and select which form I want and how many and if they are 2 sided or single side.
Summary: The printer is of great quality, but it is not wireless. I did not understand the network description fully when studying to find a printer for our small business. After the fact, obviously, I understand it is not wireless, but a 'wired' network connection required.
Summary: I have to print packages between 100 and 150 pages thick. I purchased an extra paper tray so the package can print on letter and legal paper. Print quality is excellent and printer is very fast. I am very "techi challenged", and I needed to contact Lexmark's Customer Services department on several occasions. I was able to hang up the phone on every occasion as a satisfied customer.
Summary: So Far really like the printer, good quality. I was disappointed a little in that it has one tray, thought it had two(second area for paper is not a tray but side open panel area. Also that it had built in scanner and would be listed on display panel as an option and found nothing with paper about it until I called Lexmark. U have to have them download software to access scanning. I did it it works great.
Summary: I've had this printer for a couple years now. I have no complaints. I does what it says it will do. Very easy to setup. We use it to copy, scan, print and email documents. Other than cartridge replacements, we have not had to make any repairs. This is a printer for higher volume than home use. As such, the larger tray option is a must. I would buy it again, and have recommended it to a friends.
Summary: I do wish the built in tray started with a larger paper capacity. for something that is rated for up to 8,000 sheets a month, it seems odd to only hold 250 sheets.
Pros: The setup was a breeze. I had downloaded the newest drivers from their website, which is easy to navigate and find what I needed.
Cons: The interface could use some work. Others had mentioned there is a lag of when you press the button to when it acknowledges it. This causes some double entries, since you push the button again, and then it comes in a second later. Worse, it doesn't do this lag consistently, so sometimes it goes quick and other times it has the lag.
Summary: Arrived by FedEx in a few days. When I opened it, I saw the back panel partially opened and one of the hinges popped off. I was able to pop the hinge back in. This led me to believe FedEx somehow mishandled the box. So I set it up and connect to my network on Friday evening, but the ADF sensor is malfunctioning, probably from the mishandling during transport. I call Lexmark on Saturday, and they set me up with a technician, who came and replaced the sensor on Tuesday.
Summary: Comments about Lexmark X464de 4 in 1: I use this printer and scanner in our office and while it produces quality scans/copies and is easy to use, it can be painfully slow. Often when you press one of the buttons on the touch screen you have to wait anywhere from 20 seconds to one full minute for it to respond and take you to the appropriate function menu. Another issue is that the rollers frequently get dirty, causing it to produce lines on the copies.
