Summary: The thing I liked about this machine was that I bought it for cheap and it I desperately needed a printer, scanner, copier. It has features for photos that I never used. I love the software. It is really easy and fun to use and looks great. I bought this over a year ago and I don't know what went wrong but a few months after using it, the ink level indicator would say that the ink was low and that was impossible because I had just put in a new filled ink cartridge that I...
Summary: Although I didn't receive the model I ordered, that one I got is nice. I wanted a different one that took the same ink cartridge that my old one did since I had just purchased a new one right before it broke. Now I have a useless ink cartridge but I needed a printer so badly, I kept the wrong one. It works just as well as the one I wanted I'm sure. It copies and prints and scans great! I will be buying a lexmark printer in the future!
Summary: Also have 3470. Others are correct...it sucks up ink fast. I had cartridge done at Think Re-ink. After about 4-6 pages, got a low ink notice. Thought something had gone wrong with reink. After reading other posts, not so sure. I will never buy another lexmark for any reason. Cheap printers...poor experience.

Summary: I very generously give this printer a one-star review because of it's cheap price, but then again, the ink is expensive and needs to be changed often so it doesn't balance out. Of course, I've only successfully changed it once, since it stopped working after that. This printer was a birthday present and a crappy one at that. I mention this fact, because if I was purchasing it, I would have read these online reviews and went for a different brand altogether.
It deserves -10 stars I will never buy Lexmark again.

Summary: In my opinion, this printer is a piece of garbage. It has been nothing but trouble since I bought it. It's my fault for buying a cheap printer. First of all, the paper feeder doesn't bother to take the paper and constantly fights it, or takes it at an angle, or doesn't take it at all. It is a total fight to get any paper into the thing. When it does take the paper, the printing is light and the size of the printout comes smaller than the original.
Summary: *************** YOU CANNOT PRINT A WEBSITE / ANY PICTURES / DOCUMENT WITH GREYSCALE MODE WITHOUT MANUALLY EDITING WITH WITH BITMAP OR ADOBE PHOTOSHOP OR ANY RELATED SOFTWARE WITH THIS PRINTER, LEXMARK CUSTOMER SERVICE SAYS NOTHING******************* I liked this X3470 which I bought from Woot for $35 + $5 shipping. It was a pretty good deal until I found out that Buy.com held a super deal for canon all in one printer for $20. now it's going back to its $69.99 price.
Summary: First it said "Cover Open". When I finally fixed that somehow, it said "Cartridge Missing". When I got rid of that, the printer would not take the paper in the right way no matter what I did to it for a good hour or so. So, I would say, it lasted me about a year and a half of very light use before it started acting stupid, and now I will just have to buy a new one, but probably not Lexmark since I now have a little bias toward the brand.
Summary: I have the same problem with the cover issue. Also, the power button would not go off unless I unplugged it. I didn't know, before reading all the reviews, that this was a common problem. I called Tech support and was told the same thing about unplugging, holding the button, etc. When nothing worked, he told me that this was a mechanical problem and to take it to a local repair person.
