Excerpt: Although the printer was a great price the ink was not. I needed a printer to do high volume printing and when I started to shop around for the necessary ink I was so disappointed. I quickly figured out that this was not the printer for me. The print and scanning quality was fine but nothing to get excited over. If you want to occasionally do a couple of print jobs you may consider this to be great. I wasn’t too happy with mine so I sold it.
Summary: I bought this printer/copier/scanner when it was on sale at Best Buy. While the print quality wasn't good enough for pictures, it worked GREAT for printing documents for about a year. Then it just broke/stopped working. I thought it was just me getting a faulty printer, but my friend has the exact same one and the same thing happened to him. So I have to assume they just aren't that well made.
Summary: Like someone above- this worked with a lot of effort and the problems were frustrating and endless. Within four weeks this piece of garbage would only inform me that there was a paper jam- readjusting the paper (there was no jam) only resulted in me being told that there was no paper. The last I tried to use it I attempted 20x to finaly get a single print. For the cost, I only got about 30 copies total.
Summary: I bought this printer a while ago as a back up printer, therefore I wasn't looking for quality. Even though I bought it for a inexpensive price no printer should work so unreliably. The paper doesn't sit squarely in the paper loader, so each time I print I have to baby the paper through the printer. It has such a hard time pulling the paper through itself. The paper jams 3 out of 5 times I try to print anything.
Summary: Easy set up to my computer, but got less than 1 hour total use before it just quit working. Attempts to contact customer service were fruitless. An individual I work with had the same problem with this product. I replaced this with a Cannon printer and am satisfied. I am wary of any Lexmark product forevermore.
