Excerpt: I bought this printer because at around only $50 I thought it was a great deal. The print quality is very poor and the ink refiils are more expensive than the printer! Although, you can buy the more expensive cartridges and get them refilled at Walgreens for much cheaper. The colors print out differently than theyappear on your computer screen and there are lines running through all the images.
Excerpt: My husband boutht this printer for us. When he brought it home I told him I didn't like lexmark printers because I had never had a good experience with one. He replied that lexmark had improved its products and assured me that this was a great printer. Well, it kind of was a good printer except for the one issue that about a month after we bought it it started eating the paper every time we tried to print.
Excerpt: We bought this when our dell desktop broke and we need to get a laptop for replacement. This device was one of the compatible printer selection around. We thought it would be a good idea since the price was reasonable. The installation is easy but the scan does not work. Everytime we tried our computer hang. The print/copy quallity was not the best either (dell was a lot better) and the worst part is that it consumes so much ink for few prints.
Excerpt: My opinion of the Lexmark is good when it comes to pricing and print quality is not bad either. I say that when I refer to hitting print from my computer alone, but when you use it as a scanner it is not very friendly. I place what ever it might be on the glass and click on scan it scans sends it into the pc but does not allow me to freely use it. It does not allow me to save it as a PDF in its software which allows for a very frustraing event.
Excerpt: Yes, this is cheap and if you're not one who does alot of printing, the Lexmark may be an inexpensive option for you. The scanner is good, I haven't had any problems with that. It has made an off noise at times scanning but it hasn't affected the scan. I'm not sure what the noise is from. The ink cost on the other hand is somewhat expensive with this. It feels like I'm buying ink every 2 months. I've owned an HP in the past and I don't remember it being like this.
Summary: I have not been able to use this printer yet because the manufacturer did not include the print cartridges that the box said were included. I bought the print cartridges and it still does not work and is not covered by any warranty (like the box said) -- I called Lexmark about the warranty. So now I have a remanufactured printer that I have to take to a service center to be fixed, which will probably cost more than getting a new printer.
Summary: Buying it was great, Fast shipping, easy to install and operate. But the thing drinks ink extremly rapidly. The color isn't that great either have an Epson I use to print and basically the Lexmark is a copier.
Summary: The product came with black and color ink packs. They were filled with ink but would not work on the printer. Called the Mfrg and after 1 Hr on the telephone, they decided to ship me new ink packs. waited two more weeks and got them. Took another two hours before the ink begain to work the printer. Since then, haven't had any trouble. The problem was not Walmart but the company that made the printer. I have two other Lexmarks and never had any problems.
Summary: I have purchased Lexmark printers since I started using a computer at home since 2000. However, this was the cheapest one I ever purchased. The price was great , but the printer isn't. You use up almost all your ink when you try to use it the first time, trying to do an alignment. This was a bad purchase , and I have to return it to Walmart. I had to go buy a different model. This isn't worth the time it took to set it up. Took a chance and got burned.
