Summary: When I received the pkg after several emails asking where it was, the package was in horrible shape and the printer was in pieces. Nothing was broke so I was able to put it back together and get it running. I was really disappointed in the slow shipping time and how I received the package. I wouldn't buy from this seller again. He was very polite whenever I dealt with him but he's not very business minded.
Summary: I bought this printer on the cheap ($50 at the Exchange) for temporary use while I was on an assignment out of town for a few months. Didn't really have any problems with it, other than it having pretty mediocre print quality for a printer of this era. Saved a bit of money by buying my (genuine) cartridges off eBay, so I wasn't concerned about the ink cost.
Summary: Prints ok, but after a year I started having issues getting the black to print. Black areas would print as an outline, but not fill. Changing the cartridge, reinstalling software, called useless help line, nothing worked. Unwilling to call it a day I hobbled along using the color ink for a few more months. Today the whole thing just died. It wont turn on at all, which is actually awwsome because I can go buy a new printer.
Summary: I've had this printer for a couple years now and never had a problem with it till we got hit by lightning. That fried it but good. Well I just ordered a new one. Now as for the INK . I REFUSE to pay full price for it and if you just do a little homework, you can find it for $29.00 for black and color cartridges. This is for the set. In fact I found the cheapest price on eBay. Not bad for about 20 minutes of work. I'm looking forward to having my printer back again.
Summary: Was given this about 3-4 years ago. That must be the maximum allowed lifespan as determined by Lexmark. This summer, it started randomly misprinting the pages, combining the text and moving some text to other pages, or to other parts of the sheet. This printer has never been moved since it was taken out of the box, and was only touched to put in paper or replace ink cartridges(granted that happens often).
Summary: My first X2670 died (power wouldn't go on) one week after the one year warranty ended, so no refund/replacement. I got another one because it did work well for that whole year, and TODAY THE EXACT SAME THING has happened, 7 months after purchase. Lexmark says they will send me a new one, we'll see.
