Summary: Good price, fast shipping, working out of box. Just take out from box, connect, couple min config and done. Good speed for small office, quality b&w adjustable, scanning colour little slow, but working, for this price? I love it!
Summary: Very compact and easy to install. The two-sided printing works reliably and will save you a lot of paper. The power save feature wakes up reasonably fast so you won't be tempted to leave it on all the time. Finally, the network scan function is easy to understand and works quite well. Would recommend it.
Complaints from users who don't know how to set up a printer

Summary: I am a Lexmark dealer. I like (most) Lexmark products. I like this Lexmark product. Yes, scanning could be easier. Ricoh is easier but their machines are no where near Lexmark in other aspects of user friendliness (okay... they're weird). HP is easier but their drivers are huge, take over your computer, and are full of crapware. Printing on Macs is a problem? For a printer that uses IP Port 9100 and supports Postscript natively? Really? OS 10 is Unix.
Summary: After reading all of the hype about this printer, I bought one in 2011. Since buying the printer I have been through 2 cartridges and I am currently awaiting a new cartridge ordered from Amazon. This printer requires a bit of finesse. The network drivers are the issue. At least 5 times I have spent over an hour with Lexmark on line and on the phone. This printer comes with lifetime customer support, and let me tell you they are good, seriously good.
Summary: I've had this printer for about a year and it's been a great workhorse for our home office. Print quality and speed are both good and the toner lasts about as long as I would expect given the volume of printing we do. I also like Lexmark's great cartridge return program. I saw other reviewers complain about scan capabilities and compatibility. I haven't had an issue, but I admit I'm more than a little technically capable of working around glitches.
"Fast, simple, easy to use B&W MFP perfect for home."

Pros: 1. Easy to configure. Out of the box and running in less than 15 minutes. 2. Tons of interface configurations. Wifi, Ethernet and USB standard. 3. Simple LCD interface. Not digging through menus like HP's buried layout. 4. Low operating cost. High yield t
Cons: 1. Envelope printing not intuitive. Had to mess with the paper feed defaults. 2. Looks like a copier from 10 years ago. That's not much of a gripe though.
Summary: This printer would be a 5 star rating for me except for 2 reasons. First, I hate having to get up from my desk after putting the paper in to scan just to go back and press keys on the scanner after I told the software to scan the documents for me. Second, When this machine is in rest or sleep mode every 2 hours or sooner it seems to want to make a noise as if it is shifting something around. Sort of like when I am sleeping and I turn in my sleep.
Summary: I purchased this Lexmark X264dn MFP for my home office because I needed a B/W printer, copier, scanner, FAX device (I use a dedicated HP color laser jet printer for all color printing). What amazed me about this product was amazon's PRICE which included free delivery (given the weight and bulk of this MFP this is not to be underestimated). Given this price, and Lexmark's reputation (we use Lexmark professional printers/copiers at work) I decided to purchase it.
