Lexmark X1180 printer
7 January 2012
Excerpt: This printer worked well on my windows xp sp3 computer but when i got windows 7 the drivers where incompatable, the windows 7 drivers from lexmark's website made the printer freeze in the middle of documents. The printer can hold about seven to ten sheets, it has five buttons, paper feed, scan, copy and black copy. It's ink meter is inacurate and it's ink is expensive. The documents look good when it works though and it is good printer for windows xp and vista.
Excerpt: Everything you could need in one package. Even if it is a little bulky and slow. The printer was given to me as a present from my Uncle, I wanted to use just the scanner as my old one died through overuse. When I finally found the drivers and installed the utility, the scanner turned out to be pretty good. It\'s a lot faster than my older one, which was really useful. The printer isn\'t the fastest in the world, but it does the job it\'s supposed to do quite well.
Excerpt: I have had this printer for over a year now and i first bought this printer so that i could print out work for college and the occasional picture/image, the setup of the all in one was quite easy and didnt take long before i was printing and scanning. At first i was happy with the quality i was getting but then after a while of not using the printer it would no longer print, so i did all the nosel cleaning etc and then i got a little colour and destorted image.
Pros: Printer scanner and photocopy in one machine,Scanner quality good
Cons: Printer qulaty isn't good, Ink dries fast (inside cartrige)
Excerpt: I purchased this all-in-one printer about 2 years ago and it has proved to be very reliable and extremely efficient and providing me with a great quality print at low cost. However, the quality of print isn't as good as other pritners I have seen, but it is suitable for people who just need ordinary copies for work (such as school) or recreational purposes. It offers great added facilities, such as 'copying', 'scanning' and even text-recognition software.
Pros: Customisable features (e . g . quick print etc), Can save profiles (e . g . Draft/Work etc), Decent quality
Cons: Expensive in the long - term (expensive cartridges), Quite slow, Quite Bulky
Excerpt: I've had my lexmark for about a year now at Uni and it usually serves me well generally speaking. However it goes through ink like wild fire and i find myself replacing the ink cartridges all the time which are pretty expensive. However the printer i find usually prints fairly quickly once it actually starts, though scanning is rather sluggish and not of a fantastic quality.
Excerpt: The Lexmark X1180 can be used to print, scan, photocopy and even fax documents. The printing quality is second to none, and the user interface is designed so that anyone can use this printer to its maximum potential. One thing to expect however, is the demand for ink. Because of its excellent printing quality, the X1180 seems to use ink at a faster rate than other printers i have used in the past.
Excerpt: When the time came to send my Lexmark printer to the knackers' yard, I thought that an all in one machine would be the most economical choice! Since being happy for a number of years with my Lexmark printer I had know hesitation in purchasing another product from them! The reason I went for the X1180 model was it was the cheapest at the time and most importantly looked uncomplicated to use!
Pros: Everything you need in one complete package, excelent quality scans, copy, and prints !
Cons: Abit on the slow side when printing, cartridge status bar can be very unrealible !
Excerpt: Not being a very technical person I hate hardware which comes with long and involved set up instructions. The Lexmark 1180 came with a quick start instruction leaflet which was easy to follow and did what it said on the tin - easy, even for me. Using the printer is also straightforward. A manual is included on the set-up disk and tutorials are available if required. I use the printer for copying, scanning and printing and have had no problems with any of these functions.
Excerpt: This is an all in one printer scanner copier with the abilty to fax and receive faxs. It is compatible with almost all Microsoft operating systems but does not work very well on windows 95, there are some issues with windows 98 but these can be resolved with some upgrades from the Microsoft web site.
Excerpt: I would say after buying this printer i was initially happy as it was only £59.99 and seemed like quite a bargain, then the price dropped that same weekend to £49.99 ( typical ). Included in the box were a black and colour ink cartridge but no usb connector, which was a bit dissapointing. Luckily i had my own so i was able to get started dtraight away. Firstly it was very easy to install the printer and the ink with very clear instructions.
