Lexmark X1150 All-in-one - has been for our office.
9 September 2012
Excerpt: We purchased this machine severage years ago now for my office. It has never failed us. The color copy option has been one of my favorites. The scanner has been used countless times. Nice option when trying to take older photos and convert them into digital files. The color printer is also a nice feature. The ink cartridges although pricey - last a very long time.
Summary: I got this printer because I was looking for an all-in-one. It's a 3-n-1. The scanner feature is outstanding. i love the voice prompts when its connected to the computer. The scanner is the best feature it has. The printer is just above average on print quality for documents but there is something to be said of its fuzzy photo printing ability. The ink at best is expensive but I have been able to purchase ink on ebay in lots at about $30 for 3 27s and 2 17s.
Summary: Its a nice looking printer and easy to operate I purchased it for the package its capable doing My strongest dislike its a ink guzzler to make it worse the cartriges are way to expensive compared to some other brands Id look at other printers and there features before purchasing one but like mentioned other than the ink issue there nice printers
Summary: First of all, I don't know where everyone bought their x1150s, but mine was NOT as cheap as theirs. Mine was $99 ON SALE just under two years ago. Apparently, Best Buy is NOT where you should look for a bargain! Secondly, I have loved this printer until recently - actually, today - when the black ink stopped printing. I thought it was because the ink had run dry. I had been refilling my ink for some time without a problem.
Summary: At the time this was originally purchased it seemed like a lifesaver. An All-in-One at a great price level. The problem is.... If you don't print a lot, say 1-ream a year, the printer seems to take notice..... I may be be overly paranoid. I picked this up at WalMart 2 years ago. I was very happy with it UNTIL....... I had to replace the Black Cart even though it read full ( according to the software ) after less than 200 pages. I did so and guess what?
Summary: The title line says it all.I ordered this printer, recieved it and opened the box.Upon taking inventory of what Amazon said was supposed to be in the box,I found out the black cartridge (#16 or 10N0016) was not included.Don't get me wrong, the printer works and looks fine, but no one told me that one of the cartridges are optional on this model.(oh I later found out that red "chicken scratch" in the picture says that the black cartridge is optional.
Summary: I have to agree that for the price the LEXMARK X1100 which seems to be exactly the same than the X1150 does the job well. The scanner has a fair definition and the printing is OK for pictures. The user interface is great and really intuitive. The drawback is the speed and the font defintion when printed. Fonts are indeed a little bit fuzzy once printed. Maybe an updated driver might correct that?
Summary: I've had the Lexmark X1150 for a couple of years now, and it's fair to say that the quality fades with age. At first, we had a great experience with the printer. The multi-use printer / scanner / copier function was really useful, and it completed jobs really quickly (particularly the function which allows you to copy documents without having to go through the computer).
Pros: Great quality at first
Cons: Expensive to replace the ink, doesn't retain its quality
Summary: I've had this printer for 7 years now and have generally been pretty pleased with it. It survived all the way through 4 years at university without causing me any problems. As for the printer itself, it is quite large and bulky, but because it also scans, it needs that surface area to do that effectively. It also photocopies.
