Summary: We purchased this printer and it worked for a couple of months. Then it stopped printing. Lexmark customer service said this was a known problem and sent a new print head. Then that one was "bad" so they resent another one. Finally they said it was a problem with the printer itself and sent us a "new" (aka refurbished) printer. That one never worked.
Summary: We purchased the S815 printer and they sent the S816 as a replacement when it died after a couple of months. It never worked. So we devoted hours more to walking through the troubleshooting process with their technical support again, only to have them tell us that it was a problem with the printer itself.... again. Oops but now we are past the warranty.... sorry we can no longer help you... Kim (1-183240795555) and Min(sp?) (1-4767403999) were polite but could not help.
Summary: First the good: Easy to install to a wireless connection, nice display and very good on ink usage. Now for the bad: Extremely noisy, print on text is OK but variable, spits out extra blank pages despite following instructions on how to fix this annoying flaw. After less than a year of use, I believe the print head needs to be replaced despite a deep clean procedure as recommended.
