Summary: I didn't want to give any STAR. BUT IT WOULDNT LET ME LEAVE IT BLANK. I purchased this for $300 new. The print is always bad. I called support almost every month. They send me new cartridges and print head. It will work for alittle bit. Than the print WOULD HAPPEN AGAIN, SHREAKS,UNCLEAR PRINT. I WOULD NEVER BUY A LEXMARK PRINTER EVER AGAIN. PEOPLE STAY AWAY FROM LEXMARK.
Summary: no good it print very very slow. it tooks 3 minutes to print 1 page of document, if you have paper jam it took forever to fix, I cant even wait, it seems it cannot fix so I decided to to call them and I also e-mal them several times before they replace. they give me trash printer. after almost a month they replaced it finally.
Summary: I had this printer for 3 years now. During the three years I had to replace the printhead 4 times. Lexmark always provided a new printhead as long as I went through the half an hour tech support help from India or whatever country they were in. I had a hard time understanding tech support, but I was patient and gave all I could. Finally two weeks ago the printer failed completely, not even a new head will fix the problem. I am very disappointed in Lexmark.
Summary: this is the most attractive printer that i've ever owned. I've owned this printer for a couple of years and have had plenty of time to decide if i like it or not. i hate this printer. there..i said it. lol i bought it cause it was pretty. bIG mistake. if it were my wife I'd have divorced it by now. it drinks ink like crazy the cartridges are expensive and have little ink. it loses connection with the software to print all the time.
Summary: It worked for a while, but then pictures came out distorted. I put new ink in it and that didn't work, so I called Lexmark and she asked me if I used there ink? I told her that I ordered the ink for the Lexmark s800. She sent me ink. In the meantime I did a deep clean. When I got her,I tried it and it didn't work.So I put the old ink in and it worked, but only for a short while and know its back to making crappy pictures?
Summary: I bought this printer for the flash-scan feature, and to use as a replacement for a Lexmark color laser printer that I wasn't pleased with. The scanner works okay, but I haven't used it much. The printer itself is difficult to use. In most ink jets you can drop in an ink cartridge, and only take about a minute or less per cartridge. For some reason The cartridges don't just snap in.
Summary: Printer goes through ink very fast. Even not using it to print, the ink cartridges appear to have magically dried up in 2 months and have to be replaced. It seems like this thing goes on its own magic cleaning cycle in the middle of the night. The only way to prevent this is to completely unplug the unit from power. Wireless network connection is okay but occassionally lost. I just decided to go hardwire USB to the computer.
Summary: The Lexmark Genesis is the most beautiful, elegant, futuristic looking printer I have ever seen. It looks gorgeous on my desk. But it doesn't work. Like other reviewers, I printed just 100 pages before it died. Like other reviewers, I spent valuable time on Lexmark's website, phone line, and e-mail. I patiently waited 10 days while a new printhead shipped to me. I installed it (today!) and it still doesn't work. I love products that are innovative and unique.
Summary: I ordered the Lexmark Gensis S815 from Lavatrons, through Amazon. I received the shipment today. The box was not sealed for starters. I followed all the easy instructions for set-up including wireless set-up, all went smooth with the set-up. Now the problem begins, I aligned the cartridges, and ran a test page, blank page! I checked the cartridges four times, all were inserted properly, and ran four alignments and four additional test pages, still blank pages.
