Summary: We loved the printer when I first got it. I never had a Lexmark and I used to live in Kentucky near one of the main offices, so I was excited to give them a try. I was confident it would be a great product. The wireless function worked great with 2 students in the house. We used the printer A LOT, and we went through ink like it was going out of style (we print in draft mode).
Wonderful concept printer, too bad it failed miserably...

Summary: I got this printer because my trusty old HP printer died unexpectedly after many years of service, I needed a replacement ASAP, this printer seemed to have some nice features, and there was a mega-sale on this printer. Looking back, I know why this printer was on mega-sale: it's a terrible printer. In a nutshell hardware (scanner, interface) works great, but the software (firmware, network connectivity, printer drivers, etc.) are horrendous.
Summary: this is the most attractive printer that i've ever owned. I've owned this printer for a couple of years and have had plenty of time to decide if i like it or not. i hate this printer. there..i said it. lol i bought it cause it was pretty. bIG mistake. if it were my wife I'd have divorced it by now. it drinks ink like crazy the cartridges are expensive and have little ink. it loses connection with the software to print all the time.
Summary: It worked for a while, but then pictures came out distorted. I put new ink in it and that didn't work, so I called Lexmark and she asked me if I used there ink? I told her that I ordered the ink for the Lexmark s800. She sent me ink. In the meantime I did a deep clean. When I got her,I tried it and it didn't work.So I put the old ink in and it worked, but only for a short while and know its back to making crappy pictures?
Summary: Lexmark Genesis; The coolest name for the worst printer ever. Don't let the slick facade fool you into thinking it's going to be spectacular piece of equipment as it is anything but that. Everything from setting up the printer to getting it to work was a hassle. The wireless connection is laughably intermittent even though the printer was only 4 ft from the computer!
Summary: I brought this printer last christmas! it only worked 3 days before it was telling me it was out of ink! HUH? now mind you I only printed about 20 pages! Isn't the ink suppose to last longer than that? Then it start telling me to clean the print head, which I did to no avail! still kept getting the same error message. It faxes great as long as you leave the printer head off you can still fax! But I want a printer and copier!
Summary: A one star rating is being extremely generous for the Genesis Printer cartridges must be cleaned constantly to keep a clear printed page-this eats up cartridge ink...I am constantly replacing cartridges...I will be replacing my printer ASAP...and NOT with a Lexmark. The touch screen is a great idea...too bad it is non-functional 95% of the time. I cant express how BAD this printer is. DO NOT waste your money.
Summary: I haven't ever written an amazon review but i felt the need to about this product. It is literally the worst printer i have ever used and one of the most frustrating, poorly designed products i have had the displeasure i using. The printer chews through ink, almost never works. The 'email scans' option is so hit or miss that it is faster not to use it. The scanning is fast and pretty reasonable.
Summary: I've gone through more ink and more attempts at cleaning this thing than any other printer I've ever owned. Quite plainly, it's a piece of junk and Lexmark should be ashamed for letting such a defective product go out the door. There is no question that the overall design has a flaw, since SO MANY of these printhead issues are cropping up. Read the reviews and the overwhelming majority are having the same issues.
