Summary: We purchased this printer and it worked for a couple of months. Then it stopped printing. Lexmark customer service said this was a known problem and sent a new print head. Then that one was "bad" so they resent another one. Finally they said it was a problem with the printer itself and sent us a "new" (aka a refurbished S816) printer. That one never worked.
Summary: The scanner is wonderful. Scanning is fast and clear. Printing and connectivity have been horrible. When I don't print for while the print head seems to get clogged. When I run the "clean print head" process it seems to use a ton of ink -- requiring me to buy more ink cartridges. I worked with tech support and finally got a replacement head that also worked poorly. The wireless connection to the Mac in my office was never reliable.
Summary: I run a small online business and I purchased this in the beginning because I liked the fact that it's upright. I was in a rush when I purchased it and I didn't really read product reviews or research it- BIG mistake. First off, if you have a iMac I strongly do NOT recommend using this printer. I have wasted hours trying to get this printer to print.
Summary: I didn't want to give any STAR. BUT IT WOULDNT LET ME LEAVE IT BLANK. I purchased this for $300 new. The print is always bad. I called support almost every month. They send me new cartridges and print head. It will work for alittle bit. Than the print WOULD HAPPEN AGAIN, SHREAKS,UNCLEAR PRINT. I WOULD NEVER BUY A LEXMARK PRINTER EVER AGAIN. PEOPLE STAY AWAY FROM LEXMARK.
Summary: no good it print very very slow. it tooks 3 minutes to print 1 page of document, if you have paper jam it took forever to fix, I cant even wait, it seems it cannot fix so I decided to to call them and I also e-mal them several times before they replace. they give me trash printer. after almost a month they replaced it finally.
Summary: I had this printer for 3 years now. During the three years I had to replace the printhead 4 times. Lexmark always provided a new printhead as long as I went through the half an hour tech support help from India or whatever country they were in. I had a hard time understanding tech support, but I was patient and gave all I could. Finally two weeks ago the printer failed completely, not even a new head will fix the problem. I am very disappointed in Lexmark.
Summary: Haven't even had it a year and a half and have had to replace the printer head. It's slow and noisy and turns on and off by itself in the middle of the night, if the internet accidently disconnects. Noisy!
Absolutely greatest machine ever ~WHEN it is working.

Summary: So you wonder why I only gave a 3 star rating.I love this printer & it's features WHEN it is working. Purchased my 1st one & paid right at $800.00 for it, brand new just hit the market & I had been waiting. Thrilled with it until the print head died in less than a year. Lexmark shipped one out next day ~ happy again. I am now going on my 5th print head & 1 replacement printer & guess what print head out again today.
