Summary: Lid breaks easily (many people have same issue), constant problems with wireless connection, drivers sometimes are hard to download from Lexmark site, if they even will appear, paper jams pretty easily, scanner not the best, … You get the picture. POS. Don't buy it. I am somewhat tech savvy and have wasted so much time with this pile of garbage.
Summary: I have had this printer for some time now. I have replaced the print head cartridge twice. This is the poorest quality printer I have ever owned. I have had nothing but trouble with it since I got it. I do not recommend this printer to anyone. I have gone through all the troubleshooting help they offer and still have horizontal lines in my black ink. I have exhausted every avenue of help. I do not recommend this product for anyone.
Summary: I've spent HOURS on trying to get this thing to work. Customer service often routes me to the wrong place (I have a mac and I wait an eternity online to speak to a human, only to be told that I have the Windows section, so guess what..??? I just get transferred and spend ANOTHER 45 minutes getting through to the mac section (hopefully). NO apology, no attempt to bump me up in the queue due to their mistake....why should they care? They're getting paid for THEIR time.
Pros: It prints cleanly (WHEN it prints). No other pros, sorry. I would be lying if I said there were.
Cons: 1) service sucks (see summary) 2) only the printer ever works consistently 3) no automatic software update, so if it's been a while since you've used scan and fax, you'll have to spend lots additional time to fix-usually when you can least afford it!
Summary: I have owned this printer for one year, the print head was replaced within a month after purchasing last year and the problems have continued. Continuious lock ups which cause me to have to unplug it to reset all the time ( it goes to sleep and won't wake up), software problems including never getting a PDF to print correctly from a windows or Mac machine, and the latest (which I'm sure is a print head problem AGAIN) every time I use it I have to deal clean it and it...
Works well MAYBE 25% of the time. Cheap & unreliable.

Summary: It's back to HP. This is just a piece of plastic crap. I was warned at the store that this was Lexmark's attempt to redefine itself after being known for unreliable printers. I should have heeded my gut. What a fantastic failure, Lexmark.
Pros: Reasonably Priced and seemed to be designed well, feature-wise.
Cons: Constantly must restart, Scanner/Copier lid broke after a year while opening normally., Have to slam paper tray for full closure, Often won't grab paper for auto feed, Printer head failure with limited use - not firmware, Often won't register ink refills
Summary: waste of money - get the 900 at best, not the 905
Pros: cheap ink cartridges
Cons: installation was an endless aggravation, printing is very slow, I get undecipherable error messages (such as the big red X on the printer staying lit for no discernable reason) -- never had problems like this with the lexmark 205 -- sorry i upgraded
Summary: AVOID THIS PRINTER. IT IS NOT A GOOD INVESTMENT FOR BUSINESS PEOPLE WHO NEED TO DEPEND ON IT. I have looked to CNET for editorial reviews in the past, and typically they have been pretty accurate. In this case, however, they missed the mark! I won't be missing mine... my Lexmark, that is! Off to buy a new printer today.
Pros: Cheap... except when it comes time to replace the ink. Regular inks only last a few sheets, and the "XL" inks last a bit more, but still not all that long., I will say that the scan to email feature worked well... that is about it, however.
Cons: Ink doesn't last long. Made of cheap thin plastic. Hinge on the top broke after gentle use, and now sheet feeder isn't working. It is mac *compatible*, but all the setup software is for windows. Will not print on 3x5 note cards printed from Excel.
Summary: I bought this printer for the inexpensive cartridge refills. There is a serious problem with it: every time the printer powers down to conserve energy, it disconnects from the computer. When I try to print, I get a message that "the printer cannot communicate with the computer." I was dismayed to find dozens of complaints about this on-line by people seeking tech support.
Summary: I've had this printer a little over a year now. Like others, printhead crash. I've done very light printing (I only recently replaced the black cartridge), I'm mostly using scan and fax features. All was great, until the printhead failure. I followed all the trouble shooting on their website, to no success, so it's having to buy another printhead. Okay, it's a pain, and costly, but there's hope they have the problem resolved.
