  • Summary: Lid breaks easily (many people have same issue), constant problems with wireless connection, drivers sometimes are hard to download from Lexmark site, if they even will appear, paper jams pretty easily, scanner not the best, … You get the picture. POS. Don't buy it.

Poor Print Quality

  • Summary: I have had this printer for some time now. I have replaced the print head cartridge twice. This is the poorest quality printer I have ever owned. I have had nothing but trouble with it since I got it. I do not recommend this printer to anyone.

Mixed feelings...(UPDATED)

  • Summary: I love this printer when it works. My first printer wouldnt set up because the ink cartridge was bad (which kept the black ink from working even though the magenta was the only one not set up properly). Then it kept jamming every time I would print after two months of working great.

  • Summary: I purchased this printer to use with my small (2 people) architecture firm and it has been nothing but a problem. The first one constantly had print quality problems and they replaced the printerhead a couple of times, then sent me a "new" refurbished replacement printer.

Endless frustration

  • Summary: I bought this printer for the inexpensive cartridge refills. There is a serious problem with it: every time the printer powers down to conserve energy, it disconnects from the computer. When I try to print, I get a message that "the printer cannot communicate with the computer.

printhead failure after 1 year

  • Summary: Out of the box it worked great. Easy to setup and get on the network. After 1 year the printhead failed. Lexmark is sending a replacement after 1/2 hour on the phone. I'd suggest avoiding this printer.

  • Summary: I've had this printer a little over a year now. Like others, printhead crash. I've done very light printing (I only recently replaced the black cartridge), I'm mostly using scan and fax features. All was great, until the printhead failure.

  • Excerpt: I purchased this printer about 6 mos ago for a ridiculously low price, $175, (demo at Office Depot). Got it home, and had issues initially. I couldn't get the Wi-Fi set up on my home network, (the internal wifi was not functioning). Called Lexmark, and they got a new one to my house in 3 days time.
