"Not worth the price."

fscales, CNET
30 January 2014
  • Pros: Print cost per page is good
  • Cons: Poor touch/keypad operation Software solutions don't work consistently on both PC & Mac BIG: Left hinge broken with regular/gentle use. Now sheet feeder jams because of misalignment. No repair center in my area will touch it.

"Initially worked great, quickly went down hill."

chilledmac, CNET
26 November 2013
  • Pros: It looks great. When it works, it works pretty well. It offers many of the functions necessary to be productive. Wireless is a great option!
  • Cons: This printer does not last. I would classify it as a disposable printer. It's function was fickle at best after 4 months and was more frustrating than it's worth.

Poor Print Quality

Jack T. Holt "Build it Rite", Amazon
7 April 2013
  • Summary: I have had this printer for some time now. I have replaced the print head cartridge twice. This is the poorest quality printer I have ever owned. I have had nothing but trouble with it since I got it. I do not recommend this printer to anyone. I have gone through all the troubleshooting help they offer and still have horizontal lines in my black ink. I have exhausted every avenue of help. I do not recommend this product for anyone.

I wouldn't buy another one

mnemotronic, epinions.com
1 March 2013
  • Summary: I would not buy one again unless I had easy access to inexpensive printheads and replacement inkjet cartridges. Even then, why bother?
  • Pros: When it was working, it worked.
  • Cons: Too many downsides.

poor durability, fair printer

AJ49, Amazon
19 January 2013
  • Summary: Purchased here Dec, 2010. Am on 3rd print head! Used as main printer for my small business (average 1 ream in 4-6 weeks) so this sucks to be down til (5yr) warranty replacement comes in. Has tendency to jam when using card stock & labels. As the feed flips paper 180 deg, this is an issue. Must be they expected issues as the rear cover is easy to access to clear jams. FYI, Lexmark will stop production of Ink Jet Printers in 2015!

"SUCKS!!!! That pretty much sums it up."

reviewer60606, CNET
31 October 2012
  • Pros: It prints cleanly (WHEN it prints). No other pros, sorry. I would be lying if I said there were.
  • Cons: 1) service sucks (see summary) 2) only the printer ever works consistently 3) no automatic software update, so if it's been a while since you've used scan and fax, you'll have to spend lots additional time to fix-usually when you can least afford it!

Looking for a nice investment?

  • Excerpt: I  have  used  this  printer  on  a  regular  basics   and I  love  it!! At first , I was a little skepital about purchasing this printer. Only because of the price though. My forty dollar cnon printer went out on me, and I needed to copy and print the same day it went out. I headed to OfficeMax because I knew that they had a different printer on sale for fifty bucks.

Wow, what a printer

  • Excerpt: Received this Printer as a gift.  It is a wonderful item.  Can do almost everything, plus you can join smart solutions and get news and weather right on your printer.  You can also find where you can buy cartridges for the printer in your area.  The best thing I like is the two sided printing for tax forms etc.  Recommend highly for anyone who needs a proffesional printer for home.
