Summary: This is the second one of these printers that has failed me within two years for the exact same reason...a failure of the print head. The first printer was replaced and now I am experiencing the exact same problem. I called Lexmark support. They informed me that the warranty is for only one year.

Summary: Had many problems with the purportedly "easy" set up, but was able to get assistance from Lexmark's customer service technical folks. I bought this second printer for my vacation home specifically because of my past experiences with Lexmark's customer service people.

Summary: The quality is good when it works which is 60% of the time. It hangs for no apparent reason and I have to reset it by unplugging it and having it restart. If they work out the kinks, this would be a good deal but the way it is, I'm not very happy with it.

Summary: I've had my 5500 for just under 2 years now. It's worked fine, though the wireless connection for scanning never worked, only for printing. In these 2 years, i've replaced a few cartidges that never seemed empty.
Summary: We bought this printer on its high recommendation as a resource to keep a paperless home office. It's strong points are that the ink seemed to last for a long time compared to other printers we have had. It can facilitate organization of scanned files pretty well.
Uses Color cartridges even you configure to print Black&White only.

Summary: BEWARE!! Unfortunately, this printer has a serious product design problem. It always consume your color Ink cartridges, even that you configure it to print in Black&white Only. So, Besides having expensive cartridges, you use more ink that you are supposed to due to this problem.
Summary: This printer takes forever to boot, print, scan, copy and fax. Like literally, it takes 5 minutes to wake from sleep and makes all these annoying noises. We have three, two in the office and one at home all bought at different times and THEY ALL DO IT.
Problems with installation, updating, printhead not replaceable.

Summary: This thing is garbage. After having many junk dell & hp all in one machines, I decided to go with Lexmark. What a mistake! Everything from the machine to customer service is horrible. I have been having printing quality issues since day one and Lexmark refused to fix the machine.
