Summary: This thing is garbage. After having many junk dell & hp all in one machines, I decided to go with Lexmark. What a mistake! Everything from the machine to customer service is horrible. I have been having printing quality issues since day one and Lexmark refused to fix the machine.
Summary: So we received a fax today and there was some kind of error. I would see the fax icon and it would say printing page 1 and get stuck there. There apparently is no way to reset this printer's memory. I spent over 2 hours with Tech support after waiting 1 hour on hold (3 hours wasted) only for him to tell me I have to replace the printer since it is out of warranty.
Summary: Printer has worked fine and by all means if you don't care about buying unnecessary ink then I think this printer is not so bad. But if you are like me who thinks that a product claimed as a pro class printer, also pricey, should not include any ink selling scam stuff, don't buy it! I have mainly printed black and white with the printer. Still the color inks were consumed noticeably.
Summary: I was fed up with the way HP (3 in 1 copiers) "don't feed" paper. HP "service?" had no solution for paper feeding mess. I eventually gave up on three of HP printers. Obviously I'm a slow learner. I later tried a small Lexmark S420 printer, I has been doing duplex printing for over a year without a mis-feed or paper jam. I recently replaced the HP junk with the Lexmark pro 5500 and it is living up to my expectations of reliable paper handling. No other problems either.
Summary: Despite the reviews I purchased this printer and to say I was greatly disappointed would in itself be an understatement. I never got past the point of the ink cartridges not working. Feeling confident of my abilities I went to the website and found out what the error message meant and learned that the ink cartridges were not sealing properly so the pressure needed could not be achieved.
Summary: Originally had a Lexmark Pinnacle Pro 901. Worked fine initially, but over the years it started hanging up more frequently on the start of a print job. On first power up had a 900 error about ink back pressure, cycled power and another 900 error. Pulled out ink cartridges and tried again getting another error but ran longer. Cycled power and this time it succeeded. The test page didn't have yellow on it.
Summary: Worst Customer Service! Waited 2 hours, told it is normal for this printer NOT to print if it does not have ALL the ink cartridges filled, even though it is set to print in black ink only. I bought this because it had high reviews on Consumer Reports, but this is a scam. Constantly jams, can't enable USB and WiFI at the same, turn itself on at 1 AM everyday to spit out ink on its own, supposedly its a safety feature so ink won't dry, it takes 5 minutes for this printer...
Summary: The Pro 5500 arrived as promised and is performing as expected. I used the previous Lexmark quite heavily and was pleased about the less cost per printed page. I used the Return Cartridge program, which further lessened the cost of printing.
Summary: I received this product but was not able to get it to scan or email after several hours working with the support. In the end the online / phone support tried to charge me additional amounts to get the driver installed (not the one that came with the product) and to get it working. I was very very disappointed and trying to get this set up wasted several hours of my time. Don't make the same mistake I made!
