Summary: Almost plug & play, reasonably easy setup. Prints crisp & clear, scan, fax, copy, send receive & wireless. Value & a good fit for my home network. Great support from LEXMARK, firmware upgrades, utilities & software.
Summary: I set my new printer up on my home wireless network, but I have had a several days adventure getting it to work that way. I used the setup disk and then online instructions, but repeatedly got the "communication failure" message. The balloon would say click refresh in the menu, but not where the menu was.
Fast, huge ink cartridges, versatile... but slow to start
23 February 2013
Summary: This is the fastest printer I've ever seen, both in black and white and color - it truly does print over 20 pages per minute of text once it gets going. Big paper tray - pretty fantastic job with the scanner auto feed and the printer duplexer. The ink cartridges have enormous capacity - the downside is that when it hasn't been used in a few days - it takes over a minute of clicking and making noise before it starts printing - which leads me to believe it's wasting a fair...
Summary: It is a bit noisy and a bit large, but I like Lexmark products a lot. It prints really fast. Mine have been workhorses throughout the processes of writing books and articles and teaching. I print a lot! I was able to set up the wireless by myself, electronics not being my strength. I would reccommend.
Summary: I purchased this printer based on its review in 'Consumer Reports Magazine'. It excelled in print speed, print quality (for text), and very important…operating costs. So why the 4-stars instead of five? First, the printer software lacks a "Print Preview" feature which is common on my Canon printers.
Summary: Upon initial setup was disappointed to see there was an error message. Remark customer service was very helpful though and said I needed new printer cartridges and that they would send them right out. Well I received a whole new printer, this time without any error messages. It prints fast if on quick setting, is easy to use, and photo quality is good. Only drawback is that we had to take the old printer, repackaged, and drop it off at UPS.
Summary: Setup was a little complicated. Instructions for wireless setup could have been easier. Eventually got through it, though. As noted in other reviews, it is a noisy printer. However, it it fast and seems to do the job.
