Guzzles Ink! Consumer Reports Blew It!

Summary: Consumer Reports had this as a top rated printer with very low monthly costs. I hardly even use this, yet it guzzles ink like an inkaholic! I'm sick of throwing money away on ink every few months! Like other reviews, this thing won't print in black and white if a color cartridge is low!

Summary: This is a very good printer with a couple of exceptions. 1 is it is very big, you better have a lot of strong desk space to put it on. 2 is it does get quite a few copies but it used ink all the time, it recycles or something and every time it does it uses some ink up, so if you don't turn it off...

Summary: Printer is awful on ink. We go through maybe one ream of paper a year but have to change ALL the ink cartridges 4-5 times a year. The printer will not print when any of the cartridges are low.
Summary: I was originally very happy with this product. It printed very fast and was somewhat quiet. I wasn't very happy with the quality of photo printing. 1 1/2 years later....I really hate how I cannot print if one of the cartridges is out, even if I just want black and white.
Summary: Saw this in Consumer Reports in 2012 and was excited to find one on sale in Jan 2013. No problems with installation and Wi-Fi connectivity is great. However, we purchased this for home use, and we only print occasionally. Eats toner much faster than anything else we've ever owned.
Summary: Highly recommended and is a failure as a printer. It needs contact nudging and turning off / on. To print it takes forever to start and then sometimes does not print the entire document. Overall, I will NOT recommend and suggest people look to other printers.
Summary: Our printer arrived on schedule. However, about 4 months later it would not accept new ink cartridges. A call to tech support and replacement cartridges didn't fix the problem. Lexmark sent us a replacement under the warrantee (all shipping costs were covered)and it has performed well.
Summary: I loved that I got it it work easily, on my wifi, and I could print successfully from my computer and my iPad, without having to call tech support. That made me happy! This is my 2nd Lexmark printer - loving it so far.
