DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER

Apple is Superior to all, Amazon
15 April 2007
  • Summary: I initially purchased this printer because it appeared to have great options, and ESPECIALLY because of the wifi capability. I would like to tell you that buying this printer was a huge mistake. When this printer does work its does what its supposed to do.

Has wasted so very much of my time...

Nate, Amazon
15 April 2007
  • Summary: Wireless scanning will work for a while, then fail miserably. Do you enjoy messing with firewalls, reinstalling drivers, etc., etc.? Me either. Seriously a terrible product with sub par documentation.

Worst Printer I Have Ever Owned

Lyndon Peters, Amazon
15 April 2007
  • Summary: I bought this printer specifically because of the wireless connectivity. After setting it up, the wireless connection failed within a few days. I set it up again, and it failed again. I did this several times, including with the assistance of Lexmark's support, and it just kept on failing.

Dreadful Contraption. Not Mac Friendly.

Prince, Amazon
15 April 2007
  • Summary: Horribly written Mac software; pales in comparison to the Windows edition. Moreover, the scanner is hideous. I just scanned 8 letter-sized pages to a .pdf file. The file size is 231 megabytes! Plus, the image quality is mediocre at that.

Took Me a Year to Get This Thing Functioning on My Wireless Network

Sires, Amazon
14 April 2007
  • Summary: I really wanted this thing for the Fax capability plus some simple scanning. It wouldn't connect to the network at all. Then because it was a snowy, nasty weekend I decided I would give it another shot.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER!

Andy B, Amazon
14 April 2007
  • Summary: I don't normally submit reviews for items, but this thing is such a piece of junk I felt compelled. I have never been able to get the WIFI to work nor the LAN connection. Granted, I did not tinker with it too long, but how hard should this be?

WIRELESS DOES NOT WORK

Ken, Amazon
14 April 2007
  • Summary: Hi, As reviewer swell "Tom" mentioned, the wireless just does not work reliably. It would work for a few pages and then stop. I spent hours re-installing software, downloading new drivers from Lexmark, and it did not help.
