  • Summary: bought this one to have as a spare when my present 7 year old X4850 ceases to operate - have not even opened the box yet - the price was right and since I have tons of cartridges for the X4850 so I didn't want to experience a "no longer available" from LEXMARK - thank you.

Excellent

  • Summary: The best printer I have owned. Too bad it is discontinued. They still sell the cartridges for it but you have to buy it from ebay. I got a new one for $39.00, great investment and better than the new ones that take 4 cartridges and are a pain to operante, too slow and hard to figure out.

The printer is the best buy for the money - it does eveything you need.

  • Summary: [#342b41a7a27346cba43bfaf77ce99738 - product is the best little printer I have tried. It does the job and is efficient. I have had 3 and I really like them. I have tried cannon, and several others and always go back to my reliable lexmark 4850. It does everything i need. It duplexes, makes photos, single copies, prints multiple copies - and for a home use it is the best buy for the money.

  • Excerpt: We bought our Lexmark wireless all-in-one printer about six months ago, and we love it. We had upgraded our old desktop to two wireless laptops, and our old wired printer wasn't cutting it anymore - it wasn't printing and we had to plug into it to the laptop each time we wanted to print. So, we started looking for wireless printers, and some run really expensive, but at Wal-Mart we found this one for about $50.

  • Excerpt: About a year ago my old Lexmark printer started doing weird things like not printing the right things that sort of thing. but i had that printer for three years so i decided to give Lexmark another shot so i got this wireless printer. it works really really good the printing quality is better than i expected but i am not a person that needs that kind of stuff. what i need is speed efficiency and wireless.

  • Summary: I needed a new printer due to the fact that my old one wouldn't print any more. I ordered this one because it had the features I wanted and it was the same brand as my computer. I am not disapointed. I like this printer a lot. GREAT PRINTER!!!

Best of the Best Printers I ever had

munecolandia, Ebay
8 November 2009
  • Summary: This printer is the best I have had since the computer era in the 90's. It's very user friendly. The quality of the Photos is comparable with the one taken from the laboratory when the film was the medium for good pictures. I recommend this printer to any one having more than one computer. NO cable no switchers. Just plug and play.

X4850 easier to setup than at first glance

Jazz, Amazon
23 May 2008
  • Summary: For non IT people - when using for the first time, especially if WiFi network is used, connect printer to your PC using USB cable. Then install very easy to use software driver CD. Select setting up for first time. This will then get your WiFi connections setup correctly. If installing on other PC's then select already setup radio button when installing from driver CD again. Some knowledge of TCP/IP(how the PC is recognised on the network)is required.
