Summary: As with all Lexmarks they sucker you into buying their junk printers with really low prices then nail you with ridiculous cartridge replacement charges. And no you can't refill their cartridges and as I said before they have a heavy appetite for ink. Do yourself a favor and stick with HP.
Pros: Cheap, wifi works great, pretty fast and print quality is good.
Cons: Cheaply made printer (like all Lexmarks, I've had several and they were all junk). I've had this for about 8 months and it loves to eat ink and paper. It recently ate a piece of paper but even after I cleared the jam it tells me it is still jammed. Why in the hell did lexmark think it would be a ...
Summary: I was very happy with the first one of these I bought. I used it with a Windows XP desktop PC that uses a wireless USB card, and it worked perfectly for me, both scanning and printing. Then I bought a second one for use at my girlfriend's house to use with her WinXP laptop.
Summary: PRINTS FROM THE COMPUTER SCREEN WITH NO PROBLEM. THEIR SCAN AND VIEW AND PRINT,LEAVES ME GLAD THAT I GOT A LOW PRICE ON AMAZON. IT PRINTS VERY WELL BUT SOFTWARE SHOULD BE MORE FRIENDLY. BESIDES ALL THAT, I STILL LIKE IT AND MAYBE I NEED TO GET MORE USE TO IT.
Summary: I don't exactly know how to review this item, alas, the ink cartruiges weren't recognized by the printer so I haven't gotton new ones yet. Thus, no product review yet. I read another review by someone who had the same problem. Maybe I should contact man. get recompense??
Summary: Overall it is a decent setup for basic home usage, Wireless is nice once it is setup initially (set it up on computer #1 via USB and the rest of the LAN PCs pick it up automatically). For me there are 2 main problems: no linux support and the need to have it installed on each windows computer.
Pros: For a budget all-in-one, the photos come out looking very nice and clean when printing from the memory card (it takes PictBridge, CF, SD, MMc, xD, MS). The scanner scans at a good resolution. The copying in either color or black is fast. Regular printing time (text only or mixed text/images) is d...
Cons: Menu can be confusing due to so many options you can/need to change. You need to change the paper type each time you change from 1 type to another (say letter to 4x6 photo paper, plus change from plain paper to photo paper) via the onboard menu. Prints from the computer (either text or photos) ca...
Don't buy for the scanner or if you are impatient with loud printers, else, it's cheap and it's good

Excerpt: The Lexmark X4550 is an all-in-one-printer by Lexmark. Looks The Lexmark X4550 most certainly doesn't look bad. It has a respectable chassis and an inviting design. Its gleaming silver paint is inviting to even the most sceptical of printer buyers around.
A reasonable printer, but there are better 2-in-1s out there.

Excerpt: I'd better start this by stating that although I love a good computer game, I'm not a printer expert by any means! In all honesty, I find them all a bit confusing with all their functions and doodahs and buttons (that inevitably never get used) and so on.
Summary: I've had this printer for about 18 months now so feel I am able to give you an overall review of how it is. Initially I bought this printer because of it's wireless ability, which generally works OK most of the time.
