Excerpt: I have had this printer for two years now I think, and Im ready to get a new one. Functionally there is nothing wrong with it, they just get out dated so quickly and you always search for ones with cheaper ink and what not. I have this printer hooked up to a desktop and a laptop wirelessly. It has many funtions on it and the quick select buttons on it are nice to have. You can make color or black and white copies at the push of a button, which is a nice feature.
Excerpt: I am not one on big printers but the wireless and price had taken me on this one. I had plugged it in and of course at the beginning I was pleased because I could print from across the room, but now I start to wonder what the point is because I still have to get up and get the paper from across the floor because someone has forgot to but the paper catcher back out.
Summary: I was very happy with the first one of these I bought. I used it with a Windows XP desktop PC that uses a wireless USB card, and it worked perfectly for me, both scanning and printing. Then I bought a second one for use at my girlfriend's house to use with her WinXP laptop. It works perfectly as far as printing, but it will not scan. Instead of scanning it gives the error message, "Cannot load application list".
Summary: PRINTS FROM THE COMPUTER SCREEN WITH NO PROBLEM. THEIR SCAN AND VIEW AND PRINT,LEAVES ME GLAD THAT I GOT A LOW PRICE ON AMAZON. IT PRINTS VERY WELL BUT SOFTWARE SHOULD BE MORE FRIENDLY. BESIDES ALL THAT, I STILL LIKE IT AND MAYBE I NEED TO GET MORE USE TO IT. HAS GREAT FEATURES AND I SHOULDN,T COMPLAIN, AND WILL KEEP IT TILL IT BREAKS DOWN. ONE MORE THING.
Summary: I don't exactly know how to review this item, alas, the ink cartruiges weren't recognized by the printer so I haven't gotton new ones yet. Thus, no product review yet. I read another review by someone who had the same problem. Maybe I should contact man. get recompense?? for the new cartriges I'll need???
Summary: The Lexmark X4550 is an all-in-one-printer by Lexmark. Looks The Lexmark X4550 most certainly doesn't look bad. It has a respectable chassis and an inviting design. Its gleaming silver paint is inviting to even the most sceptical of printer buyers around. It looks sleek, it looks easily manageable and most of all, it looks simple yet complex.
Pros: Great printing quality, nice chassis
Cons: Noisy and slow, non - working scanner, over - sized drivers
Summary: I'd better start this by stating that although I love a good computer game, I'm not a printer expert by any means! In all honesty, I find them all a bit confusing with all their functions and doodahs and buttons (that inevitably never get used) and so on. But hey, I'm hoping that this review will appeal to the less techie-minded amongst us.
Excerpt: "...peronally I have always found Lexmark printers a nightmare to work with. The trouble started when I first got the thing and the CD supplied wouldn't install the software properly, and sent me repeated error messages containing mindless number sequences I didn't understand. It insists on installing fax software which I find nobody really uses anymore, and its otherwise good value for money I feel is compromised by it's ink prices, but I suppose this ...
Summary: Well, they're right about print quality not being exactly brilliant, but it is acceptable if you're just printing plain old Word docs. I love the convenience of wireless. Also, I got mine for only $150 after cashback so, not complaining. I still have a "proper" printer as standby when I want photo printing.
Pros: Wireless Affordable Easy set up Cashback offer
