Summary: If professional printing quality is what your after, the Lexmark X4530 is great printing quality. At almost 5000 DPI the printing quality is almost as good as the professionals. Only problems is the wireless device driver for the scanner can be easily corrupted leading to the scanner not recognizing the computer via Wi Fi. So the printer has to be connected directly to the computer for the scanner to work properly.
The Lexmark x4530 falls very short in its wireless connectivity.

Excerpt: While the print quality was tolerable, the ink consumption was pretty high. The most negative feature, however, was the wireless connectivity. Maybe my expectations are high, but I expect a wireless printer to print when I ask it to. This printer required us to turn it off and reset it, sometimes more than once to get it to connect to a computer and then to try repeatedly to get an item to print. The next printer we bought was not a Lexmark.
Excerpt: I got this printer a few years ago and I can honestly say I can not wait until it no longer works anymore. I thought that this would be a great printer. Maybe for someone who doesn't print a lot but I do. I go through a ton of ink and the ink is pricey. The only thing I like is the program to recycle the cartridges. I have never been able to use the scanner but can cop and print.
Excerpt: I purchased my first home computer in December of 2007, and I was going to wait a few months to buy a printer to go with it. But to my surprise, my wonderful Mom bought me one for Christmas a few weeks later! She bought me a Lexmark X4530 All-In-One InkJet Printer, and I have loved it ever since! It was very easy to set up, and only took about five minutes. I have had to replace the ink cartridges several times, and that too is very simple.
Excerpt: I bought this printer online from a reputable dealer. I paid a fair price around $80.00. It has WiFi built in as well as an Ethernet landline outlet. It has a Pict Board for cameras and photos. It is an all in one scanner and copier. The first couple of times I printed, I had no trouble with it. Then, I started getting error messages telling there is no communication with the printer. I have troubleshooted it many times and even deleted and reloaded my disc.
Excerpt: DO NOT USE ON VISTA...BECAUSE THIS IS MY STORY OF WHAT HAPPENED TO ME TODAY. This printer is a very nice all in one printer. You can copy, scan, and print photos. It works well with XP after it is set up. This printer is not very nice or user friendly when trying to connect with a vista computer using wireless.
Excerpt: This all-in-one Lexmark is great for filling your needs. I purchased this new for about $100 a few years ago from Walmart. You can copy to your computer. Either buy scanning, using an SD card or plugging camera into the usb slot. You can print. By scanning, SD card, from computer or USB. Scanning is fast and easy with just a push of a couple buttons. Its best feature is its wireless.
Summary: If you bought this printer because of its nifty Wi-Fi features, expect to be disappointed. Because, most of the time, you'll have to hook it up with a USB cord which completely defeats the purpose of having a Wi-Fi printer. Trying to scan with this thing is a joke. Most of the time, you'll get a message on the display screen that says "Cannot retrieve application list." Then you go to Lexmark's website, download their drivers... everything works again!
Summary: May 2011 reivew: Purchased in April 2011. Worked Ok for one month. On the 37th day, paper quit feeding properly. "PAPER JAM" only fixable when the paper is still trying to feed through. Once the machine makes a page disappear while printing, there is no fix. Print paper literally goes to the bottom of the printer, gets trapped, the printer does not open for maintenance, and the printer is forever broken.
Excerpt: This printer works on WI-FI. It is perfect for laptop computers or multi computers because of the Wi-Fi. I like how I don’t have to hook up my computer to get things to print. The print work is wonderful almost picture perfect. I do find that it seems to use more ink then some of my past printers. It also has a flatbed scanner on it. It scans well but can be confusion to try to get things to scan there is a few steps not a 1 push button.
