Summary: Recently picked this printer up used. I plan on using it for coupons. It was very easy to setup; essentially all that is required is power and a data cable...and even that can be negated via the wireless connectivity. Setting the printer up for networking was as simple as navigating to settings, scanning for a network, and then entering my wifi password to connect.
It was great until....(but technical support has been good)

Summary: We ordered the printer on 11/10/2010 from Amazon & it arrived within a few days. Wireless setup was easy and print quality was great. On December 3 the printer gave an error message saying there was a problem with the printhead. We called tech support, their response was excellent -- after some questions and virtual operation of the printer via my laptop, Lexmark decided to send a new printhead. Checked UPS today & the new printhead will arrive tomorrow!
Summary: Printer works great. It occasionally needs to have the printer head cleaned, which is a nuisance, but for the general purpose of printing out what I need it too, it works great. Wireless feature is pretty cool too.
Summary: I bought this printer because of the low cost of ink cartridges. Little did I know that they run out quickly and they are not refillable. I wish I had known that fact prior to choosing this printer. The scanner works great, but I had a problem with the WI-FI connection. I was due to my router, but I did get it fixed quickly. Print quality is good, but layes the ink on a little to heavy.
Summary: The 105XL cartridge can be modified to work with the S605. The 100, 100XL and 105XL are all the SAME physical cartridge, just with different size ink fills. The 105XL physically fits into the S605 with no modification. When installed, the printer says "unsupported ink cartridge." How does it know, seeing as it's just an ink well and not a print head? Under the label at the top is an RFID chip.
Summary: I needed a new printer for my small business that could scan with decent resolution and print nice and crisp without a big learning curve. This fit most of my needs. One caveat, if you want to download all the perks of the printer itself onto the printer, the printer will have to have access to your router wireless (I.E. receive signal from router). You cannot load via usb through your computer. Once all that was handled, it performed as expected.
It works okay most of the time, but it whizzes through cartridges

Summary: This printer has not been flawless by any means, but the after sales service from Lexmark was far better than I received from HP with my old printer. I would like to give it more stars but the cost to replace cartridges is extremely high and they seem to need replacing fairly frequently despite not printing very much at all.
Good printouts, but a little tempromental. FAULTY PRINTHEAD REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY

Summary: The joy of this printer is it's so easy to use. The touch screen gives all the information and interaction you need. Scanning quality is very good. Why not 5 stars? It stopped printing 8 months into ownership. Turns out a batch of these printers went out with defective printheads. I cannot rate Lexmark support more highly. A few quick email exchanges and I had a free replacement printhead sent out to me.
