Excerpt: I bought a laptop about a year ago and part of the deal was to get a steep discount on a printer. The printer I chose was the lexmark s305. I had a slightly tough time setting up the printer. With a little persistance I was able to get the printer up and running with no huge problems. I had an occasional problem with my laptop not working with the wireless connection on the printer so I would have to reinstall the printer.
"Not the worst, but certainly not the best, either!"

Pros: Tremendous price point for the features that you get. Easy to install and link on to a home network.
Cons: Ink runs out much to quickly-black cartridge only lasts 6-8 weeks with minimal "draft" quality use. Printerhead hangs up all the time, requiring the printer to be opened, and printerhead reseated. Paper doesn't always feed properly.
Excerpt: I purchased a Lexmark it lasted for awhile. It was a all in one plus it had a fax included. One day I was starting to use it and I smelled something. It shorted out.Caught fire.I unplugged it called the manufacturer,They replaced it free of charge,no shipping or postage, they sent me a return carton. Can't remember what kind it was.But it was great. Then after awhile, that went on the blink. The ink was terrible to buy.Now I have a HP all in one with Fax.Still the ink is unreal...
Summary: I bought it because my canon printer was old now.I like it because it is a wireless printer. But what I do not like is that I hardly printed 5-7 black and white pages and started getting message that either black cartridge id damaged and or low in ink????? I do not know where to go to ask for help???
Pros: The color cartridges are replaceable in each color; with HP and other brands you have to buy a color cartridge with all three colors combined even if you are only out of one color It is small and prints fast The scanner is very clear
Cons: Customer service is hard to understand Had two problems already in one month owning it Expensive ink
"Prints great but lexmark screws you on cartridges."

Pros: I like the wireless and the speed of printing. We make lots of copies and it does that very well.
Cons: The Ink for this printer is hard to find AND non-refillable by ANYONE. I am very disappointed that they felt obligated to make life hard for normal people who are now REQUIRED to buy 30 and 50 dollar XL carts. as the little ones run out in ten pages.
"Good printer but the Ink cost is going to get you"

Pros: This is my first wireless and so far it has been nice. I like the desgin and set up. The cost ($80 at Stapples) made me feel like it was a good value ...
Cons: HOWEVER, the black ink ran out fast (2 weeks) after the initial set up. I'm hoping that this is not normal because I looked on-line for discount cartridges and none are out there for this printer. And refill stores won't refill the cartridges either.
Summary: I'm not real happy with it, But that is my fault , didn't read the fine print! My old printer was a Lexmark that was well past its use by date,it would stop in the middle of a page, intermittently, but it had a self feed scanner, load 15-20 photos and away she'd go, scan one after another, this one has a flat bed scanner, one at a time jobby, this one is wireless type, takes a long time to talk to the computer and print the page.I am happy with the Lexmark brand(ink...
Summary: Whilst I am not saying avoid, if you get a good one it works great as the print speed is excellent and indeed looks the business, solidly built with a number of useful features and installs quickly on a BT wireless system. Now the bad side, having had 2 of these due to faults developing I would have to say it is a poor printer.
