Had this printer for 1.5 years and stopped working
7 September 2013
Summary: I got this printer for free with my macbook pro. I has given me so many problems throughout the first year, I stopped using it for about 7 months it worked now for about two days now it says their is a print head error. i called technical support they couldn't even help me. Its time for a better printer this one was good at first now it stopped functioning at all! I can see why lexmark stopped making inkjet printers they are literally terrible.
Summary: After a couple of months, this machine started printing oddly at times, then one day it refused to work at all. Lexmark sent a replacement, and after waiting a week for it to arrive, I found I couldn't install the replacement as I had installed the original. Their tech support is only available limited hours. The printer also sucks up expensive ink like a dry sponge. The only good things are the low cost and that it prints pretty fast.
Summary: This printer is very slow, printing is OK. Also it has kinks, I have to hit with my fingers the cartridges to get it to print. I liked my previous Cannon printers 100 % better, but I guess you get what you pay for, this printer was cheap, would never buy one again, I go back to Cannon. Would I recommended Yes if you cannot find a Cannon for the same price.
Summary: Unfortunately this printer is cheaply made. Even worse, it printed fine the first day I used it, but by day two it was smearing black ink when it printed at all. (the colors were still ok) After numerous attempts to troubleshoot and clean/align the printheads, the problem remained. This printer will be sent back. It has a nice price for the functions, but I ended up buying a Brother MFC495 for only 10 dollars more.
Summary: Well, the installation process is easy to follow and well thought through, and the printer is well specified. And our last Lexmark was great. But at the end of it all, the printer still wouldn't recognise the print cartridges or the printhead. This is a known problem with batch of these printers. I know that now: I've done some research. So can you: type "Impact S305 won't recognised printhead" into Google. There's a site you can go to to update the printer firmware.
Summary: Printer looks good and when it's working the quality is good enough for my small business needs but twice in the last month it has suddenly stopped working and I've had an error message saying that a component is missing - even though it was working fine 5 minutes previously. It takes a reinstall to sort it but this is just the kind of thing that takes that spare half hour out of the day you thought you had and is hugely frustrating.
Only for your own use - not really fit print quality to send out

Summary: If you want a printer to quickly print up notes and letters for personal use and the quality doesn't matter, then this might do the trick; more than that, and I would say this is not right for you. I've had mine for three weeks and already I've been through one black ink cartridge, after no more than 80 sheets of text.
Summary: I bought this printer after reading various positive reviews, including the ones here. I wanted a printer that would be reasonably good at printing photos and which I could print to from computers running both Windows and Linux. It came down to a choice between this and a similarly priced model from HP. I wish I'd chosen the HP one, having had five years of good service from our previous HP printer.
Summary: Having had two Lexmark Printers prior to ordering this one, expecting at a similar cost, all that had been enjoyed in those two. Needed new printer for accessing Wireless connection for new laptop. First problem was screen display not bright enough, second was the USB connection with a two pin, that neede a two pin adapter, not supplied. Thirdly no ether network cable, or necessary information in accompanying manual. Thank goodness for Amazon's efficiant Returns Service.

Summary: Salve a tutti.
