Documentation is contradictory and is overkill for most people.

Summary: This is a pretty nice unit. The problems are (1) The quick-start guide is contradictory to the manual set-up guide. This caused us much inconvenience. The printed quick-start guide indicates hooking up the printer cable to the computer before inserting the installation disc - not correct. (2) The user guide is 352 pages (accessed online). How to set the date & time, and setting up speed dial should not be buried in a 352 page manual.
Lexmark CX410DE - General Comments, and troubleshooting Scan to Email

Summary: Lexmark CX410DE - General Comments, and troubleshooting 'Scan to Email' Now that everything is setup, I'm VERY happy with this device! I was looking for an 'all in one' laser jet to replace my inkjet that kept clogging up. I was wasting so much ink whenever I needed to print something. In my opinion, this printer has THE best specs of any printer in production. Even printers that are in the thousands are hard pressed to do what this does at around a $470 price point.
Summary: Pros: All functions work as advertised. Scanning: Love the simplicity of "scan directly to email." The email (SMTP) client supports SSL and thus works with all big email providers (gmail, office365 etc.) Once you setup email shortcuts, it takes 3 clicks to scan to email. Unlike the cx310, the cx410 series does have a duplex scanner, so you just load your 2 sided printouts on top and click go.
Summary: We have had this printer for about 3 months, and we have zero complaints. Tack-sharp text and photos, easy scanning to USB thumb drive or workstation, and excellent fax. Who could ask for more? It thoroughly trounces inkjet printers in image and text quality.
Summary: I bought this printer to replace a cheaper and much crappier consumer-grade HP all-in-one machine. I figured that I would buy a workgroup-sized printer so I wouldn't have to change toner every month. Also, I was hoping for greater durability. I've only had the printer for a month, but it has been flawless so far. Setup was the easiest I've ever seen. I basically plugged in the printer, connected it (via ethernet cable) to my LAN, and powered it on.
Summary: The good... I will say up front that this is definitely a quiet, fast printer with good quality color output. It also does a very fine job making color copies. But... Lexmark seems to have slipped from when I last arranged the purchase of multiple ones of their MFPs -- they have gone from a company that provided a relatively painless software install experience to one that now provides multiple phases of a software nightmare!
Summary: lexmark is a great product that is feature packed with options. im so happy i got away from hp because their printers like to fall off the network. anyway, great print quality compared to inkjet, prints from android easily, color all in one. im truly blessed. thanks.
Summary: Overall print quality is good, usability is good, some little quirks where the printer reports errors if you don't have a fax line connected etc...probably just needs a little more tweaking of the settings but overall very pleased with it.
