Summary: The new 1690 MF is cheaper to buy than buying new cartridges, fuser and imaging cartridge. The document feeder is almost worthless, since it jambs easily, and takes very few pages. The color printing is great.
Summary: I have owned 2 of these. The first one I screwed up while cleaning it with an Air Hose to blow the dust out of the inside of the unit The second one is going strong and is very dependable. It produces very high quality copies. Scans very well with appropriate prompts and is a very good FAX machine.

When I got it, it had a paper jam that I didn't figure out, called Customer Service and they guessed the problem right away and walked me through the procedure.

Pros: Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use, Sharp tones & colors
