Summary: I put this printer in the rubbish bin today and was so pleased to see it go. Had it for 2 years and hated it - clunky, clumsy, poor print quality, crap software and paper jams. I don't know if you can still buy this, but if you can, DON'T. The ink carriage jammed so I didn't need any excuses to replace it. Have swapped it for a Canon Pixma MG7150 - my goodness, what a difference! Quiet, unobtrusive, stylish, good print quality.
Summary: From the beginning the print quality was poor and it is now so bad we will have to get a new printer. (About a year old now) The scanner isn't great either. I think this is a dud of a printer, even if kodak cartridges are cheaper it isn't worth it. Like other reviewers mention it's noisy, it jams, can't connect remotely from computers or iPads, and all round rubbish. Bought it because it had good reviews, should have sent it back after opening.
Excerpt: "I bought a Kodak Printrer Hero 9.1 as Kodak Printers are famous for cheap cartridges and the name Kodak is a famous name. I am not sure whether I was unlucky or it is a bad product. I had to change it as soon as it arrived. It is highly automated and simply did not function. The replacement was equally troublesome - poor printing, a number of the functions did not work as advertised. I stuck with it for a few months, accepting a poor quality product. ...
Cons: Not user friendly . Highly automated and simply does not work as advertised .
Summary: I made the mistake of buying the Kodak hero 9.1 printer. Periodically Kodak sent me downloads/updates and one of these updates corrupted my system, it stopped me being able to scan from my computer. I went on to their help line and one of their experts took control of my computer, but after 2 hours he still could not correct the fault. I decided to accept that I could now only scan directly at the printer.
Summary: I bough this latest,Kodak Hero 9.1,state of the art printer to replace my ageing Epson R300,which although slow, still produced excellent colour prints, which were sharp and vibrant, and, importantly,it was also cheap to buy,and run. I thought I would treat myself, however,as this printer seemed to offer some more up-to-date functions,(wi-fi,touch screen, etc)than my old Epson.
Summary: Worked fine for about four weeks. After that many paper jams, software issues and Wifi problems. Tray is too small the design is too flimsy. Printer has a lot of problems gauging ink levels: when you have added a new cartridge the software stays stuck and tells you that the cartridge is still empty. Wifi keeps dropping off for no reason. Print quality is poor. Had high hopes but unfortunately a bad buy.
Summary: I bought this top end product because I wanted high quality photo printing and an all in one scan/copy/fax/print wireless format. The first one I bought was faulty and had to be returned. The company said they had encountered this problem before. I then ordered another one. It proved challenging to install, and took several HOURS of support to get a proper functionality.
