Summary: Printing with this printer is excellent. I love the duplex printing and scanning features, ability to copy both sides, and the wireless connection. I've experienced the "coma sleep" that some have described, but not to the great extent that others have. My greatest disappointment with this printer is the amount of ink used. It's been advertised as printing more pages per cartridge then most other printers, and having lower cost cartridges.
Summary: It works great, when it is working, but that is only about half the time. I've had this for a little over a year and had issues with it after a couple of uses. I'm fairly technologically savvy and I have spent hours troubleshooting it for various problems. So far I've always gotten it working again, and my old HP all-in-one had some issues, but never this many.
Summary: The printer has separate colour and black cartridges. When your colour ink runs out, it refuses to print at all until you buy a new colour cartridge. This is true even if you want to print in black and white and have a full black cartridge. not cool from a company professing to bring a new approach to the cost of ink.
Summary: Purchased this printer because it claims that you can print via iCloud of your iPad or iPhone. When I tried to make it work, it was very complicated to set up (I'm not an expert on computers but am computer literate). When I called technical supprot it them over 2 hours to get the printer to work and dispite all this wasted time, I still CAN NOT print any images from my iCloud account, additionally, not even the text is printed.
Summary: I purchased this printer in December of 2011 because I was about to move to a smaller, rented house and needed a wireless printer. I chose the Kodak because a friend works for Kodak and tipped me to the fact that their ink was far more affordable than other printer manufacturers. In January I moved into my new house and installed my Office Hero 6.1 and started the wireless setup. That is when I ran into my first problem.
Summary: I thought I was getting a great p/c/s/f but come to find out I did not. This was not worth the money to me. It starts up slow and shuts down even slower. The scanner is not even that fast. The only good thing is that I can scan straight to a USB.
Summary: The print quality and features are good for a local printer, but it is useless over a network unless you constantly send it new print jobs to keep it awake. After it sits idle for a while this printer puts itself to sleep to save power (although tests suggest that it doesn't save very much power). The problem is that this printer CANNOT wake up from sleep mode.
Summary: I've had many wireless printers before and have never been disconnected from my wireless network. When I would go to print with the Kodak Hero 6.1, it would constantly be looking for the printer because it dropped the wifi connection. I would have to restart the printer and then it would be fine until the next time. Instead of wasting my time calling Kodak (India), I just returned the printer. I had read other reviews that confirmed this as a problem.
