Summary: I am on my third Kodak Hero 5.1 printer which has just packed up (printhead problem). None have lasted more than a year. Each time Kodak has replaced the faulty one but exactly a year later it stops working. I find the ink cartridges don't last long either.
Summary: Already on a replacement printer and then a replacement print head. Chews up paper on a regular basis and uses more ink than any printer I have had before. Now it's not powering up. Software is a chore.
Disappointing product and didn't meet my expectations

Excerpt: Kodak Hero 5.1 All In One features: - colour or mono printer, allows you to switch easily between the two colour types - scanner, scan individual pages either directly to a memory card or send the full document to your email account.
Summary: Had this printer for just over a year now and I can confirm it is not cost effective at all. This printer gets light use but dashes through ink stealing it at an astonishing rate. I have tried to emulate the impressive 'pages per cartridge' claims but this is simply not achievable.
Summary: I bought the Kodak Hero 5.1 printer 2 months ago and I am not impressed with it as the ad's say that it is cheep to run in ink. Since I have had the printer that I use almost every day to write letters, I use it in draft mode only and I do not use the colour cartridge at all.
Summary: I bought this printer from Amazon 18 months ago. It was used very regularly though not intensively in the first 4 months. At that time, when I first reviewed it, I thought in most respects it was a very good printer.
Summary: I have a vast amount of experience with most types of printer, laser's, ink jets, desk jets, Gel printers (even dot matrix). The black ink in this printer, even the XXL version prints no more than 30 documents of black and white text before you need to replace the cartridge.
Summary: I bought this product in the hope I could reduce my Ink costs, I read a couple of reviews saying it was a good printer and the Ink was cheap. I have had Epson and HP printers in the past and there were never any concerns about the quality of these printers.
Summary: I bought the Hero 5.1 as a result of the claim to save ink costs, however, I am finding this not to be the case with the colour usage. I have used 2 cartridges to print 76 6x4 photos with 3 A4 prints. Thats probably in the region of about 33p per small print, and the print quality is not good.
Summary: Read the reviews...seemed to be a good buy. First thing I noticed was when moving the paper guide to different sizes. It was awkward and tended to stick. Likewise the upper paper tray. The biggest disappointment was the quality of the photo images 10 X 8 and over.
