Summary: I got this unit for my family for Christmas 12/20/11 last year from Target. On Fri 5/11/12 I never used that scanner before but when I did, I got lines across the print I just scanned. Customer Service is a joke, especially the Chat part if you decide to chat with someone. They don't listen to you, they are not attentive when you ask them a question, they are always saying sorry for your ordeal, bit not really sorry because it happens again and again and the pictures I...
Pros: Prints wirelessly, Prints are great if you use Kodak Paper
Summary: I bought this in early 2012 for uni and at the time it was considered a decent all-in-one printer. However it seems the device itself cannot handle the multiple features thrown into it. Just note that I have spent most of the time connecting the printer with a USB lead and not the wireless features. The first issue I have encountered is printing double sided on auto.
Summary: What a load of rubbish. Do not buy a Kodak printer. My printer suddenly reported Error 3527 which is printer head jam. Useful tips from Kodak include 'remove cartridges' which isn't possible if the head is jammed. You have beeb warned.
It did nowhere near the recommended numbers of pages per ink cartridge
22 October 2014
Summary: Worked okay for the first few months, but then started doing incomplete prints all the time - black missing, or colour missing. It did nowhere near the recommended numbers of pages per ink cartridge, and we have had (kodak) cartridges that have literally printed 10 pages, then the printer says the ink is run out. The only way I can get it to print now is to clean the printheads between each single sheet of paper printed - which uses a lot of ink.
Summary: Seemed like the perfect package with the reasonably priced printer, low running costs and all in one. Within 4 months this printer was broken, the print-head stopped printing anything magenta so that rendered it useless. But as i found the running costs arent that amazing, for black and white its more than decent but the colour was a different story; this was solely due to the colour cartridge containing CYM (cyan yellow magenta) all in one and as soon as one of these...
Summary: This only lasted me 6 months. I had a new printer head replaced within that time by Kodak, the service for that was fine and they sent me a new one as soon as I told them the problem I was having. The reason I replaced it was the paper kept getting stuck and I just couldn't use it. I would never buy another, I've gone back to Epson again.
Summary: I've had this about a year and have tried to soldier on with it. I have never had so many issues with a printer as this one. It loses the standard settings for every single document I print, even if I'm printing a set of documents, so I have to keep going in and reapplying defaults (like duplex). It constantly jams every time it prints, and has a particular issue with printing on both sides of a piece of paper.
Summary: Thought this printer was going to be economical.......sadly not. The print head needed replacing after 13 months. (just our of warranty) Now a year on and it needs replacing again. So that would cost me £45. The inks might be cheaper but the printer should last a bit longer. I only use it now and again! Will not be buying a Kodak printer again.
Summary: This is a quality all in one printer at an affordable price, unfortunately. It breaks, a lot. Our broke after 8 months. Kodak were good and sent a replacement printer head within a week, then another 5 months later it had the same problem. We've contacted Kodak and this time, as it's outside the warrantee they won't help us, so we took the printer apart ourself and removed the offending bit of broken plastic and now it's not working at all.
Summary: Broke within 12 months. Kodak tried to offload a recon unit on me which I refused. Viking replaced with new model. 12 months later broke again. In the same week my mums exact same model also broke with exactly the same symptoms. Goes through ink like any other machine in fact I would say it uses more ink than some machines I have owned. Had to deal with Kodak rep in India or somewhere similar who was hard to understand. Viking were very good.
