Summary: Do not but a Kodak Hero 5.1 Printer. The reliability is awful, continous printing problems: The paper does not eject far enough often resulting in paper jams and over printing, we are using a USB cable connection which results in continuous communication errors, the wireless conection when used dops out one in four prints. A friend with the same printer has had similar problems.
Summary: The final solution to the continual problems I had with this printer was to dump it mercilessly into my garbage can, and buy an Epson printer. I have had many Epsons over the years, on my various computers, including one that just gave up after about 15 years. This Kodak printer was very, very difficult to connect in the wireless mode. Then, every few days the printer would disconnect its wireless connection, and I would be unable to reconnect.
Summary: This worked 10 prints over a year and never worked again called Kodak support in India and was copy and paste response sent me a new head and then more errors contact support again and copy and paste and offered me a new 90 day warrenty new head and ink 45.00 dollars Really cost me 99.00 + tax why?
Summary: what ever you do don't buy one of these printers! Had it for 12 months, its been replaced and still doesn't work properly. It only ever prints if reboot and it doesn't matter what you do to try and sort it. Kodak are utterly shocking in the inability to solve the problem and instead send you round in circles. Never never ever will i buy i a Kodak printer again. and it cost £100!!!!!
Summary: Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me. this is my second kodak first one died fast but i bought into the cheaper ink factor. Well here's the truth! Ink runs out fast and if one or the other cartridges runs out first, you have to replace both together even if your levels on one cartridge are fine, and to add insult to injury, printer quits working all together after ink level falls below 40 percent in either cartridge.
Summary: After printing using mostly colored ink, the color ran out. I had plenty of black and white ink so changed the settings to print only blank and white. This printer will not print black and white if color ink is out and vice versa. I researched the printer and looked online for solutions but the answer is still the same. Will not print if one of the cartridges run out. Not a good quality for a printer.
Summary: This printer constantly jams and the color ink was gone before we knew it...and we rarely print anything. Also, we never really got a good print job out of it when it did decide to work. I don't usually leave feedback, but I felt it was a must with this piece of junk.
Summary: This printer uses way more ink than any other I have ever used. The print quality is low. It is glitchy. I have to turn the thing off all the time so it will reconnect with our wireless router...nothing else has to do this. I have to say this is the worst electronics purchase I have ever made. buy anything other than this printer.
Summary: This printer is the biggest purchasing mistake I've made in a long time. It is below average quality and way way too expensive to maintain. I have three main problems with it: 1.) It requires color cartridges to print black-and-white. It uses up so much color in the b/w prints that I was having to purchase a new color cartridge roughly every month and a half, and I exclusively print in b/w. (I print an average of 70-100 pages a week). 2.
Summary: Worst printer ever, replaced black and color ink after sitting about 3 months without printing, maybe printed a few pages. Now after replacing both black and color they are both running low after a month, I might have printed about 10 pages. It is just crap.
