Summary: I bought this printer after reading reviews about the low cost of replacement cartridges. Like others who have commented, I soon learned that you really don't save money, because the cartridges simply have to be replaced more often. When the printer was only about 2 months out of warranty, the printhead went out. After researching online, I found this is a common problem, although their customer support kept telling me it isn't.
Summary: I was very excited when my best friend gave me this printer as a gift. I usually spent no less than $30-$40 for replacement ink, so I was delighted that I could spend $20 for ink and make more copies. I haven't printed anything in the last 3 or 4 months but I didn't know it would end in tragedy. I have other brands of printers that if I didn't frequently use them I could still print whenever I needed to. I'm a college student and I had a project due for today.
Summary: Printer is good but the ink part is poor. Need new design to avoid ink sponge dry out easily. Kodak printer is cheaper, so is the ink but the ink if not frequently use will dry out easily. Suggest not to buy because of that.
Summary: First, the good news. It's cheap to buy; the print quality is good; it prints excellent photos; the scanner and copier work well; the wireless connection functions; the software is useful. I've had it for a year and a half. The bad news is that it goes through ink cartridges like there is no tomorrow. I purchased this printer specifically because of the vendor's promise of low operating costs, and got the opposite. As a result I really feel ripped off.
Extremely high ink consumption- even if you don't print in color!

Summary: I've had this product for less than a year, and I'm ready to change it... the ink usage is out of control... I print only a few pages per month, yet already bought 4 cartridges. Not recommended.
Summary: I don't leave reviews often. This was a truly horrible product. It broke within 35 days (return window expired after 30 days). Will no longer work at all. Just produces an error message saying to reinstall ink (which doesn't fix the problem). Also, could never connect to our wireless network despite trouble shooting, downloading drivers from website, etc. so we could only use a cable to print(which is not included). Super annoying...
Summary: this printer really sucks....you will spend a fortune on ink....and don't even think about trying the generic.....the printer somehow senses this and will render it useless very quickly....I set my printer to print all black and white....Ie no color at all...and after only 40 pages of black and white it shows my BRAND NEW OFFICIAL KODAK COLOR ink cartridge is down to 20%...what a joke and you wont be able to print black and white very soon....never Kodak again....
