Summary: what seems to be a cheap printer to start with turns into a very expensive printer as it only lasts until the warranty is up then fails. no yellow ink done a self diagnostic online as it said it needed a new print head.
Excerpt: I purchased this printer last year after being fed up with the amount I was spending on inks. I wanted a printer I could print photos and documents with and thought Kodak would meet my needs. Initially I was pleased with the result and the inks did seem to last a long time. The photos didnt seem to print at the best quality and initially I put this down to my camera.
Excerpt: Our Brother printer which had served us well got damaged and as we had seen this one on The Gadget Show where it got excellent reviews we thought we would give it a go. Less than 5 months later we are now waiting for the delivery of our third, yes 3rd, one. Our original stopped printing anything on the paper, first they replaced the print head, then software update and then a new printer and still we have the same problem.
Pros: Prints quickly .
Cons: EATS ink even without printing anything . No warning when ink is running out . Ours didnt work .
Summary: This printer has been the source of many tears of frustration. Constant issues, jams, updates... the list goes on and on. Admittedly, I am not one well acquainted with the inner most workings of a printer. But what is the world coming to if in order to use a simple piece of equipment you need a degree? The 'Help' feature and 'Instructions' are also ridiculously uninformative.
Summary: I bought this printer to replace a Canon Pixma printer I have had for years. I was seduced buy the thought of paying less for ink (Canon ink is expensive) and the fact that this printer says it is fast. I have found this printer very disappointing (for my purposes). *It takes longer to get going when it is first turned on. *It very noisy and suddenly does a loud 'whizz pop' about 10 minutes after I have printed something (disrupting my lessons).
Excerpt: The thing about today's gadgets, once you manage to get one, there are a whole complimentary items that one sometimes can't do without to make it complete. Take my Nikon Digital SRL camera for instance, i've had to get a memory card, software to edit pictures, camera case, a book which explains the use of the camera functions better than the instructions manual the manufacturer included, registered on a site to store photos.
Pros: cheaper ink catridges, print without pc, easy to set up, easy to use, space saver
Cons: Does not come with USB cable, printer is a ralatively pricey,
