Summary: The one I bought only turns on and was an AS-IS printer as in... they didn't test it because "they didn't have the ink to test it" but when you plug this one in the LED screen comes on even before pushing the power button.
Summary: There is a patch available from HP to deal with the problem of "incorrect color cartridge." I bought this model about two years ago. I had difficulty installing it with Mac OS 9, but eventually I succeeded. After some weeks, it started showing "incorrect color cartridge," and I telephoned HP.
Summary: The HP all-in-one's have made my life more simple - they perform well and do a variety of tasks. I use mine with my Macintosh computers in my elementary school classroom for such things as copying, printing, and a little scanning now and then.
Summary: I have owned mine for about six-months and use it daily. I have made a few photo dvd's from scanning old family pictures. It serves its purpose well, and is an improvement over the Lexmark all-in-one printer I was using. I would recommend it for general, or home office use.
Great Multifunction Printer (23PPM, 4800x1200 DPI)
29 March 2006
Summary: This all-in-one printer is great. You get fast, clear, sharp prints (both photos & text). It prints, copies, and scans at a reasonable sound volume; it would be nice if it were just a bit more silent. The picture LCD and memory slots become very useful when printing without a computer.
