Liked my old HP PSC 1315; sadly, this used one didn't work

Summary: I had used a HP PSC 1315 All-in-One Printer on several Macs for some years - and been generally pleased with it. Until a paper-clip leaped to its death, inside, and broke a crucial [small plastic] part, which caused the oldie-but-goodie to barf paper continuously.
Summary: I've had this printer for at least 3 years. I purchased this for home use, printing shipping labels and documents, and only recently started printing photos. I've gotten my money's worth out of this printer, but it's time for an upgrade.
okay but only lasted about 2-3 years of low usage.

Summary: Bought this printer a few years ago for my daughter to use for school projects, etc. Mostly used it as a copier which worked very well. Seldom used otherwise. About a month ago it started indicating a paper jam and nothing could be printed. Tried everything but now the printer is worthless.
Summary: I've had this thing for about 18 months. It worked pretty good except for the goofy alignment procedure when changing cartridges. Last week, it started giving an error concerning the Image Gallery keyword throwing an exception. Calls to the HP line received advice and instructions, but all failed.
Summary: I bought this printer a little over a year ago and I used it heavily during the school year with no problems scanning, copying, or printing. I started printing on 3x5 cards and it worked great, except when I reset all the defaults back to 11x81/2, It grabs the paper, jams and will not clear the...
Summary: Pros: A very nice output both in black, and in color. Great high-res scans. Prints very nice color photos too. Pretty fast, high quality copying done by pressing one button only (your great grandmother can do it :>) Had it for six months and no, it doesn't look like it's going to fall apart.
Summary: The primary concerns for a printer are met, both color and black and white, and it hardly ever jams. That's what's important. Copying is easy and quick, so that's a great bonus. However, for the life of me I can't get it to scan. Also, this thing runs through ink like "it ain't no thing.
Summary: Everyone needs to know that, as another reviewer mentioned, Avery special papers DO NOT work with this printer. You simply CANNOT use even business card-type papers regardless of the software you're using. The HP software is a major problem, it essentially does not work.
Summary: This all-in-one has done ordinary resume and cover letters well for me and the scanner is fine (see the other reviews for those details). I have one warning... This is NOT the printer for creative projects.
Summary: The printer is good overall, but I didn't know that it was incompatible for wireless printing. My 5 year old HP inkjet was compatible to Netgear's print server, so I figured a new printer would be compatible, but it turns out the HP PSC printers are not network capable.
