Summary: What a pile of junk. I was given a gently used one of these with new cartridges and could not get it to function. My mother in law had it for a year and printed a few recipes and schedules. when it ran out of ink she bought new cartridges but never installed them.
It was okay until HP messed it up with the new drivers

Summary: I bought my first quite a few years ago, used for printing and copying. Never used the scanner. It was fine, although slow and somewhat noisy. Don't recall now what the demise of that one was, requiring me to buy a second one.
Summary: I bought this used and so far it is working out fine. My original finally broke down and they no longer make this model so this works for me. I had a lot of new ink cartridges I had left, so now I can use them instead of throwing them out. Well satisfied.
Summary: I don't know exactly how long we've owned this printer, perhaps 9 or 10 years, but I'm glad we have it. This is a really slow printer, but it works. It scans slowly - but it works. It copies slowly - but it works. I doubt if we've had more than 5 to 10 paper jams over the 10 years we've owned it.
Summary: I got this printer when I started college, and it lasted me through all 10 years, plus another! Just recently kicked the bucket. Decent quality, not very fast but it was very durable through over a dozen moves.
Summary: Having owned this printer for years I wanted to replace my worn-out version. This one was fine for awhile, until the rollers stopped grasping the paper. I love the printer, but must wet my finger and encourage the paper to push through for every copy.
