Uses a Colossal amount of ink. Just OK.
20 April 2014
Summary: This printer works, but its fussy and goes through ink as if on purpose. If you blink, it will go through an ink refresh cycle and waste even more. I can't recommend it. I am a former Epson printer user, and will go back on my next printer purchase.
Summary: Do not purchase HP photosmart printers. They have a bug which causes the black cartridge to suddenly stop printing. Check the internet. You'll see posts from many frustrated customers. There are several supposed "solutions," but none of those solutions consistently work.
Summary: I guess I would say the best thing about it is the mechanical reliability and few, if any paper jams. The wireless network receiver failed after about a year of use, but luckily my router is nearby, so I just plug it in with an Ethernet cable.
Summary: This printer is a complete waste of money. It literally eats ink - I print maybe 10 pages a month and have gone through 4 ink cartridges this year at $30 a piece! It's extremely loud (easily wakes my baby), is incredibly slow (to print a normal page, the printer moans and groans for about 2 minutes...
Summary: Printer prints well when it works. Printer heads need to be cleaned frequently. This process uses up a tremendous amount of ink. I just loaded new cartridges, had to go through at least 4 head cleanings before I had a decent print and lost 1/4 of the ink from the new cartridges!
Summary: HP Photosmart 310 quits printing due to problems w/ ink cartridge. Starts out fine and then the black stops printing. Beware, you will buy a new $30 cartridge and it wont work. HP has not contact info. They are screwing you w/ this product. Buy Brother or Epson!
Summary: HP has been a big name in inkjet and laser printers for quite some time. I have tested and used many HP printers over the years, and have generally been satisfied with their products. However, I have been seeing a concerning trend, of lowered quality of design, engineering, and manufacturing.
Summary: This is the worst printer I have ever owned. I have owned it for about 1 year and have regretted the purchase ever since. Right from the start, the printer exhibited a trait where it would go to "sleep" and you cannot wake it up without unplugging and plugging back in.
Summary: Save yourself a lot of trouble and find a different printer. I thought HP's reputation was better than what I experienced. My printer arrived and would not print in color, other than the test prints.
