Summary: If you are tech savvy, you can straighten out the wireless connection issues. Agree with other customers on how much ink it uses. I just bought this printer to replace the same one, mainly because I buy ink in bulk and had so much left to use. Was having issues with the print head, nothing that a good 24 hour soak in water didn't cure and then let the head completely dry for about 5 days. If I would have done that BEFORE buying the replacement...
Summary: The printer itself works great but the whole point of it, the "wireless" printing feature is not compatible with our Mac and wireless router. We wish we would have figured this out sooner. So basically we bought a regular old printer at premium price rather than a wireless one.
Summary: Purchased this product thru third party company Adorama (never heard of this company nor will I do business with them again nor recommend them to anyone I know). First, the start-up disk sent to me was damaged and I asked on several occasions for a replacement. They gave me a 2 week run-around saying they had to contact HP to see if they can get a replacement disk for me.
Summary: As most people have found out, this is a pretty decent printer in terms of print quality. You can neatly print normal documents as well as photos and this makes it ideal for home use. The printer gets its own email address and you can print any document by emailing to that address. This feature works very well which means you can print from anywhere with any operating system. The main problem is that wireless and AirPrint connectivity is not stable.
Summary: i dont know what happened. as soon as i bought it, breezed through the installation, worked fine first couple of hours. THEN i plugged the power plug into a different outlet. now it wont even turn on. correction, it DOES turn on (the power button and the screen) but it turns off almost immediately and does this for several hours until i unplug it. i dont know what is even going on with it.
Summary: After spending an entire day unsuccessfully attempting to set up this product HP Customer Support declared my printer to be faulty and provided me with return shipping instructions. The second printer I received (a week later) was set up and running in an hour and continues to work well. I only wish I hadn't had to spend an entire day getting this product set up in the first place.
Summary: *********************************************** UPDATE: May 2013: The printer has stopped working -- "Ink System Failure, 0xc19a0003". Tried cleaning print head, swapping out print cartridges, but still no-go. New print head might fix it, but they're $58 on Amazon - over half the prince of the whole printer! The scanning function still works, but that's it right now.
Summary: I actually miss my old HP printer, this one is way too bulky and heavy. I bought it for the wireless option but I still have to put it away when done. It is also slow to start and process printing. I do not love it but do not hate it either. I will not recommend it though.
