Summary: Piece of garbage, don't bother. Goes through ink cartridges like you wouldn't believe. Constant headaches with connecting to wireless and other computers. I regret my decision to purchase this printer. DO NOT BUY!
Summary: I don't really hate the printer, but you can't buy the extra large black ink cartridge anymore. I have this printer, bought in 2010 for $99.00. Why would anyone spend twice as much for a refurb? Especially when you can't even buy the right cartridge. If someone wants to buy mine for $199 - let me know. I'll be glad to buy a better printer for half the price.
the B209 and B210 are good machines when used with bulk ink.

Summary: i bought this printer as a replacement for an existing/failed B209a as my bulk ink system worked with this and a few other models. i ran about 40 reams of paper with high density printing though one of these before the print head died (read more below). it adapts readily to a "bulk ink" kit , especially if one carves some plastic on the left (inside) out. be sure to install the OCR software ! be careful with the software and firmware updates ...
Summary: Overall this is a good printer. The ink cartridges do not last as long as they should. I bought this printer to replace one of the same model that I have. I purchased this printer "as is" so I wasn't sure what to expect. The paper feed does not work properly, otherwise is prints fine.
Summary: I don't know what is it with HP printers that they drop the ball every time. I looooove my HP laptops, had two already and planning to buy a third one later this month, all have been excellent. But when it comes to their printers I've also had several and they each have been nothing but problems. I bought this one last year as a replacement for my last HP printer that decided to stop working one day (after less than a year).
Summary: The set up was simple but long. It loaded unnecessary items also. After the starter cartridges ran out replaced them with high capacity ones. The B/W was to provide 340 copies. Barely managed 10. All the cartridges ran out within 2 months without printing. The scanning is good but often crashes. Very often it fails to recogize the USB connection. I have been using an HP 882c for 12 years. So far it has not given any problems and the cartridge lasts at least for a year.
